guizmo Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 Hello I have FS2004+wideserver on a win2k and wideclient on a winxp. Wideclient says it's "connected" but I allways have a gray screen. I read the documentation but I didn't see how to use it... Thank you
Pete Dowson Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 Wideclient says it's "connected" but I allways have a gray screen. Gray screen? By default you should have no screen at all except the title bar. You must have re-sized it. If you want to do that and have something other than gray there you can get WideClient to load your own bitmap. There's a parameter for that. What program are you trying to run on the client? It will be its window you want to see really. Normally you will want to hide or minimise the WideClient window. It's only useful for showing whether it is connected or not. Pete
guizmo Posted August 6, 2003 Author Report Posted August 6, 2003 I didn't understand what widefs was... In fact, I need to do a virtual cockpit with the visual system on one computer and the instruments one one other... (with 2 other computers later for the right and the left visual systems).

To have different views on different monitors you need WideView not WideFS. Rgds
guizmo Posted August 6, 2003 Author Report Posted August 6, 2003 Yes I think wideview is what I need. I first thought widefs=wideview... Wideview isn't working with FS2004... If someone know another way to do what I need...
Pete Dowson Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 Wideview isn't working with FS2004... If someone know another way to do what I need... The only way at present would be with multiplayer, I think. You run the clients in "observer" mode, or something like that. Pete
