fsuipc 9.96 & fsuipc debugstatus

Recommended Posts

Hello Peter!

First I like to thank you for you work.

Get to the point, I have two concern to ask about:

I run FS2004 on Q9550 intel 4GB RAM FSUIPC 3.93 with Wide Client 3.75 with RC4 on main computer, second computer as loptop run wide Client 3.75 with FS Commander and MapSend Topo connected via GPSout. In this configuration everything work perfectly fine with no problems. I try to upgrade to FSUIPC 3.96 and after i did get problem with RC4. I dont use voice pack all my comunication is via pressing certain key. Problem came to when ATC ask me to contact new Center or Departure or Approach or Tower, after change radio frequency and press selected key i get no contact then after few seconds ATC ask me again to contact. For me look like is some few seconds delay between moment when I press key to moment received by RC4(only when i have to switch to another station). Finally after many try ATC get it and respond. But this is only happen when I have to respond to new control center, anything else regarding ATC working perfectly fine.

Finally after few flight and try I switch beck to FSUIPC 3.93 and everything came back to normal.

Another concern came to me when i try to fix first one. I look in FCUIPC file and find it something what concern me. I use Project AI and World of AI traffic.

Debugstatus=255 is this OK or shut be "0"

Traffic File follow with number and file name, is some bug in those file?, do I have to be concern about that or leave it like it is?

Well, I use RC4 too and have no problems. There is certainly no changes which affect anything RC needs.

Are you using hardware to change to radio frequencies -- a joystick button or similar? If so, are you sure it changes? You may be one of the few users who get timeouts operating on some joystick devices. Try the interim update available in the Updates and Other Goodies Announcement.

255 is correct if everything is in order. That is hex FF (all bits set in a byte). Bits missing would indicate (to me) a possible problem.

Traffic File follow with number and file name, is some bug in those file?, do I have to be concern about that or leave it like it is?

Traffic file listings are provided so that traffic file references in programs such as TrafficLook can point to the file containing the traffic. They were a very useful entry in the FSUIPC3 logs. Sadly I cannot do that in FSUIPC4 (FSX).

The log you provide is for 3.93. why? What's the point? If you have a problem in 3.96, surely that would be the relevant log?

Regards

Pete
