Hi Pete,

I use 3 different controls: Saitek Yoke + Throttle; Saitek Throttle Quadrant and CH Pro Rudder Pedals. ALL USB.

I´ve set up to DISABLE joysticks on FS, so I can configure them with FSUIPC that is a lot better. :)

Configuring them with FSUIPC 4.xx on FSX works fine, but when I am using the FS9 with the FSUIPC 3.96 (last version from download page) I have some problems: The axis assignments go off for no reason. I can no longe access them via AXIS ASSIGNMENTS and cannot use the controls flying.

I was looking for a 'solution', thinking that was something that I´ve done by mistake, and found a way to make the assignments work again and this aparently is the reason I am losing the assignments everytime.

Inside ...FS9\MODULES\ there´s the FSUIPC.INI file and it displays:

[JoyNames]

AutoAssignLetters=No

0=CH PRO PEDALS USB

1=Saitek Pro Flight Yoke

2=Saitek Pro Flight Quadrant

[General]

bla bla bla...

When I change something the new INI file looks like this:

[JoyNames]

AutoAssignLetters=No

0=CH PRO PEDALS USB

1=Saitek Pro Flight Yoke

2=Saitek Pro Flight Quadrant

yes, there´s a SPACE between 0= and 1= and when I correct it manually, the controls come back to life.

How to solve this problem?

Thanks!

Roger

Tried the 9.7.2 version and the problem still there.

My system:

Mobo ASUS P5K Deluxe

CPU Core2Duo 6600

NVidia GTS 250

4GB DDR2 1066 MHz Corsair

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bits

Looks like I found a solution: using the AUTOASSIGNLETTERS option...

[JoyNames]

AutoAssignLetters=Yes

0=CH PRO PEDALS USB

1=Saitek Pro Flight Yoke

2=Saitek Pro Flight Quadrant

A=CH PRO PEDALS USB

B=Saitek Pro Flight Yoke

C=Saitek Pro Flight Quadrant

Now it´s fine. :D

Fixed a few weeks ago, in the updates available in the Updates Announcement. Best update your FSUIPC4 too, as it can do the same. The safety timeouts were a bit too tight for the Saitek controls.

That's only a coincidence. Space lines aren't at all relevant.

No, if you mean 3.972 I don't think that's possible. I think you must be still using 3.96. Please show me the FSUIPC.LOG file.
