Flight Controls Calibration

Recommended Posts

Hi Pete,

I am having problems calibrating my flight controls, or should I say I am unable to calibrate them. I am using 2 sets of controls Capt side & FO side.

What is happening is I start with the Axis Assignment Tab pressing the Rescan button all my controls show up fine, as well as the show up in the game controller, so I know they can be seen. However after the Axis Assignment (for each control i.e. ailerons, elevator, rudder) after each one I go to the Joystick Calibration Tab and moving the controls from Min to Max nothing happens. It is like there not even there. The Set numbers are grayed out and the values do not change.

I was using FSUIPC 3.93 and I since upgraded to 3.96 and then to 3.976 and still no progress. Some of the controls work but usually not both pedal sets, it will be one or the other.

I hope you can help.

Cheers

Paul M

Did you try calibrating them in FSUIPC without also assigning them there?

How are you assigning them? i.e. by which method in FSUIPC's axis assignments?

It is like there not even there. The Set numbers are grayed out and the values do not change.

Have you presses the left hand "SET" button (so it changes to "RESET")? Only then are the calibration facilities active.

Please use an up-to-date supported version, currently only 3.98 or 3.98a for FS9 and before. You can always find out what versions are supported by referring to the Supported Versions list in the Announcements.

Come back after you've got yourself up to date.

Pete
