Hi Pete,

I had purchased FSUIP3, installed and working in my old computer, OS was XP.

When the Hard drive died, I got myself a more powerful computer, this time Win 7, mainly to

have a better experience with FS9. I have re-installed FS 2004, also the PMDG 737 800/900 onto this new pc, no problem.

I still have my Key for when I registered FSUIP3, it worked fine on the other pc, but won't register on this new pc.

Do I have to purchase a new Key for this computer?

Many thanks,

Steve

No, your key should work fine.

Please always state the version number of FSUIPC when asking about it here (currently supported versions are 3.98 and later).

If, in the Installer, you registration is rejected then you will be making a mistake in one of the three entry fields -- name, address and key must be all exactly the same as originally. it doesn't matter if you changed your email since.

Thanks for the reply Pete,

Unfortuantely on the printout I did when I purchased FSUIP3 from SimMarket, it does not show the version number.

All I have is; the date, Monday 10 March,2008

Select Package: Single License,

My name, e-mail is all correct, and I have the FSUIP3 Key on this printout. I have tried to enter this key again, in my PMDG 737-800 but, still does not recognise it, saying, sorry, this key is not valid for FSUIP3 registration.

Seems I will have to go buy another one, then take the gamble if it will register.

Because you do not purchase a specific version from SimMarket. You download the current version from a website run my Mr. Schiratti, and get updates from the Updates announcement here.

Version numbers are built into porgrams. To find the version number you can do one of several things:

1. Look at the documentation (though that will only give you the base version, not an update version).

2. Look at the options screen in FS.

3. Look in the Install log or in the run-time log in the FS Modules folder.

4. Look at the Properties-Version data you casn access by right-clicking on the DLL itself, in the FS modules folder.

That last method is standard and applies to virtually ALL windows programs and DLLs. Please try it one day.

this key is not valid for FSUIP3 registration.

If the key is rejected outright when you are trying to enter it, then either you have mistakenly purchased a key for the wrong product, or, more likely, you are making a mistake when entering any of the details. ALL THREE FIELDS, name, email, key, MUST be exactly correct. Use cut and paste if you cannot do it manually!

It is not a gamble. It is not a game of chance. You just need to know how to enter your name correctly, your email correctly, and the Key, correctly. There's nothing else to it!!
