westes Posted August 10, 2003 Report Posted August 10, 2003 I'm debating whether to throw in WideFS into a registration for FSUIPC. What instruments are available that I could put on a separate PC and then use WideFS to connect to FS2004? Is there a good standalone Garmin 500 implementation that would use FSUIPC through WideFS?

I don't know, sorry. There are plenty of add-ons which will work through WideFS though. Check the list of FSUIPC applications on the Schiratti page. It isn't complete, but it's a start. Pete
westes Posted August 10, 2003 Author Report Posted August 10, 2003 Of the utilities I saw on your homepage, Project Magenta stood out as the most excellent, and most fully developed, set of separate instruments for use with WideFS and Flight Simulator 200x.

Yes, that's what I use. Not cheap, but as good as it gets, especially if you are into airliner flying. There is a new IFR GA panel too. Pete
