What instruments are available that I could put on a separate PC and then use WideFS to connect to FS2004? Is there a good standalone Garmin 500 implementation that would use FSUIPC through WideFS? I don't know, sorry. There are plenty of add-ons which will work through WideFS though. Check the list of FSUIPC applications on the Schiratti page. It isn't complete, but it's a start. Yes, that's what I use. Not cheap, but as good as it gets, especially if you are into airliner flying. There is a new IFR GA panel too.
