msg #14

Recommended Posts

I WHEN I TRY TO CONNECT FSC

I GET A MESSAGE WAITING TO CONNECT MSG#14 ?

From what program? Has this anything to do with any of my programs? I've no "MSG#14" in any of my programs.

I can only support my own programs. If FSC is Flight Sim Commander and you are using WideFS then show me the WideClient and WideServer log files. But make sure your Network is working first, and also make sure your FSUIPC and WideFS are up to date.

Oh, and please find the Caps Lock key on your keyboard (on the left probably) and press it so you can use lower case too. It makes messages more readable and less like shouting.

The logs show nothing wrong except that the Client is not receiving broadcasts from the Server and you've not bothered to tell the Client what the Server name is nor the Protocol it should use.

You don't have to tell it these things if broadcasts work, but as it clearly says in the User Guide broadcasts only work if you make both PCs part of the same workgroup -- i.e. they must have the same workgroup name.

The one important thing you should have done after installing WideFS is to at least read the section of the User Guide called Configure your Network which does say at the very beginning, and in RED:

IT IS IMPORTANT FOR ALL USERS TO READ AT LEAST PART OF THIS!
