ronhol Posted July 3, 2010 Report Posted July 3, 2010 I have repurchased FSUIPC v4.6 for my FSX from simMarket.com and recieved and installed the program sucessfully, but when I get to copy paste my name, then my Email and finally my new key to the register screen it keeps telling me I have an invalid entry, four very careful and double checked attemps fail each time. I have deleted old registration each time but this makes no differance. Can you help
Andydigital Posted July 3, 2010 Report Posted July 3, 2010 Check your PC clock is set correctly, if your time and date is set to a time before you bought the key then it will look invalid.
Pete Dowson Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 I have repurchased FSUIPC v4.6 for my FSX from simMarket.com Why "repurchased"? You only need to buy it once. and recieved and installed the program sucessfully, but when I get to copy paste my name, then my Email and finally my new key to the register screen it keeps telling me I have an invalid entry, four very careful and double checked attemps fail each time. I have deleted old registration each time but this makes no differance. Can you help If it says the key is invalid then it either doesn't match the FSUIPC version (i.e. it is an FSUIPC3 or WideFS key), or you are making any error somewhere. Since you used a false name here (why do folks do this?) I cannot check for you. If you tell me your registered name I may have the details (I don't necessarily get them all). Don't post the key here though. Andy's suggestion about the system date would not invalidate the key, it would only prevent FSUIPC working correctly when registered as it would assume the key was pirated. Regards Pete
Andydigital Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 Andy's suggestion about the system date would not invalidate the key, it would only prevent FSUIPC working correctly Ah I didn't know that!! Sorry I'll remember that for the future.
ronhol Posted July 5, 2010 Author Report Posted July 5, 2010 Thanks Pete sorry I am not using the WS version and because my old FSUIPC v3.74 was purchased 04/30/2007 for FS9 user name Ron Hollins and because that will no longer accept my key I thought it must be out of date for using in FSX so that is why I have purchased the latest version 4.20 however I now find the key issued with the latest version will not work in FSX so both my flights sims are running with unregistered versions at the moment.
Pete Dowson Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 ... that is why I have purchased the latest version 4.20 however I now find the key issued with the latest version will not work in FSX Version 4.20 is definitely NOT the latest version! It is completely out of date and will not work with any keys purchased recently. The current user release is 4.60 and there's a later version also availble in the Updates announcement. Please do not ask for support with any old versions. Also the oldest supported version for FS9 is 3.98. Note that FSUIPC3 and FSUIPC4 use different keys-- they are different products. Regards Pete
ronhol Posted July 8, 2010 Author Report Posted July 8, 2010 I am still attempting to get the key issued on the simMarket invoice to be accepted after paying for and installing FSUIPC version 4.46 on FSX with service pack 2. I have tried both the copy/paste and typing it in direct, I have tried it by choosing all three options in turn ie FSUIPC only/FSUIPC with WS since your latest version for FSX incorporates WideFS . Regarding the PC date my invoice date is 07/03/2010 and I presume you mean checking the PC date is running correct at todays date which it is, and you mean it should be the invoice date OR later which it is or did you mean roll back todays date back to the invoice date before entering the key?. When starting FSX the trusted publisher name is simflight Gmbtl which is where I purchased it. So everything should work but something is not allowing it to accept the key.see details from installation ********* FSUIPC4, Version 4.60a by Pete Dowson ********* Trying to connect to SimConnect Acc/SP2 Oct07 ... Pete Dowson Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 I am still attempting to get the key issued on the simMarket invoice to be accepted after paying for and installing FSUIPC version 4.46 You paid for FSUIPC4, not a specific version "4.46", which is in any case out of date, unsupported, and won't work with Keys purchased in 2010. I have tried both the copy/paste and typing it in direct, I have tried it by choosing all three options in turn ie FSUIPC only/FSUIPC with WS since your latest version for FSX incorporates WideFS . It isn't included in the purchase. For efficiency in operation the WideServer.DLL component of WideFS, which used to be separate, in built into the FSUIPC4 code. ********* FSUIPC4, Version 4.60a by Pete Dowson *********Trying to connect to SimConnect Acc/SP2 Oct07 ... Didn't you read the page you purchased from or check your receipt? Regards Pete

ronhol Posted July 8, 2010 Author Report Posted July 8, 2010 Pete Thanks,so it means I have purchased two old versions for FS9 so that should install OK with any of the two registery keys into FS9 as a registered copy. and you are saying I must now purchase and download the correct FSX version which is FSUIPC v4.6 which is what I have got? Ron Hollins
Andydigital Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 Contact customer support (raise a ticket) at Sim-Market and explain the mistake you made, they should be able to help you especially when they can see you already purchased the FS9 version in the past.
Pete Dowson Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 ... so it means I have purchased two old versions for FS9 so that should install OK with any of the two registery keys into FS9 as a registered copy. Well there's no such thing as "old versions" of Keys. FSUIPC3 (which is for FS98, FS2000, CFS1, CFS2 and FS2002 as well as FS9/FS2004) is current and updated regularly just as FSUIPC4 (for FSX and ESP) is. They are two separate, but live, products. But, yes, you have two FSUIPC3 keys at present, and not one for FSUIPC4. Doesn't your receipt show this? ... and you are saying I must now purchase and download the correct FSX version which is FSUIPC v4.6 which is what I have got? You do not purchase a specific version of FSUIPC4. You already downloaded 4.60a (there is a later version in the Updates Announcement if you are interested). But for the key purchase, yes, unless you can persuade SimMarket that it was an honest error on your part and see if they will replace it for you. Raise a problem ticket there. Regards Pete
ronhol Posted July 11, 2010 Author Report Posted July 11, 2010 Thanks everybody, I now have the current versions running in FS9 FSUIPCv3.9.8.0 and in FSX FSUIPC v 4.57 However in FS9 when I press Alt to get the menu bar and select Modules then the FSUIPC drop down it is all there but when I click on FSUIPC I get a fraction of a second the settings display screen but then it goes to a blank screen, I then have to select ESC to get back to the flight sim. The FSX version is working perfectly.
Pete Dowson Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 in FS9 when I press Alt to get the menu bar and select Modules then the FSUIPC drop down it is all there but when I click on FSUIPC I get a fraction of a second the settings display screen but then it goes to a blank screen, I then have to select ESC to get back to the flight sim. That is always down to a video driver bug. Either find a video driver update to fix it, or revert to Windowed mode. It isn't in FSUIPC's control. When you select the FSUIPC menu it merely calls upon Widows to display a standard dialog. Some buggy video drivers have problems doing this correctly in full screen mode. The FSX version is working perfectly. FSX uses a later version of the DirectX interface to FS9 and evidently that isn't buggy in the video drivers you are using. Regards Pete
Andydigital Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 4.57 isn't the current version for FSX either, 4.60 is. You can get the latest installer versions at the address below. Http://www.schiratti.com/dowson
ronhol Posted July 11, 2010 Author Report Posted July 11, 2010 Thanks Pete and Andy for your fast response, on a Sunday as well, so everything is working now as far as FSUIPC goes, so as you say it's my video drivers, that might account for why I can't get my new Flight 1 Citation Mustang to refuse to recognize any mouse imputs? that's another story. Thanks again and I will try coming out of full screen with FS9 until my next video driver update.Cheers.
Pete Dowson Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 ... as you say it's my video drivers, that might account for why I can't get my new Flight 1 Citation Mustang to refuse to recognize any mouse imputs? No, I don't think the video driver affects mouse operations. Pete
Andydigital Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 Problems like that with the Mustang are a sure sign that the FSX install is broken or that SP2 isn't installed at all.
