Hi,

I have a problem where the simlator 'fatal errors' and re-starts about three or four seconds after the flight has loaded. I read some fourms about deleting the .WX files but that didn't help.

Also: If I try and load 'real world weather' when creating a flight it fatal errors then aswell. My weather themes options are gone bar one 'clear skies (clears all weather)'.

To overcome the problem temporarily I uninstalled FSUIPC and it worked OK. If I can't fix the problem, I won't be able to fly for my virtual airline, Thomson Virtual. , as they use a flight tracking software which requires FSUIPC.

Please Help!!!

Patrick

Hi,

Your crashing has to do with your weather and not FSUIPC. Try this: start up FSX into a flight and go into FSUIPC and re-set that to Default Settings and Weather Settings Off and see what happens.

I've not heard of a weather problem quite as severe as losing the Themes as well, but apart from the possibility of corrupt WX files, there's a file called WXStationList.bin in the same folder as your FSX.CFG which can cause similar symptoms when corrupt. You can delete it and let FS build another. It is updated from Jeppesen/Microsoft downloaded weather data and if this is corrupted the file can also be so.
