cpflight MCP problem in virtual cockpit FS9

Hi Pete,

I don't know if I should ask you this , but I hope you can give me a hint at least, because since a week I've been trying everything I could imagine but no result.

Problem :cpflight MCP RS232 with USB adaptor works fine in FSX (in 2D or VC ) and in FS9 in 2D but problem in FS9 in virtual cockpit:strange behavior : just one issue: when increasing speed on my MCP : the view changes to right vc view and back a few times but no change in speed. Decreasing however works as normal.

This happens in every arcft in VC mode in FS9.

For years I just used 2D cocpit with PMDG737.Now I just bought a triplehead2go for flying in VC cocpit over 3 screens and just came across this annoying prob.

I suppose your module is not to blame , deleting the ini or even installing the latest version did nothing.

So what could it be ?Please give me some advice,going slowly to insanity...

My system : Quadcore @2.5; geforce gTX285, Win7 64; Goflight TQ, FSUIPC reg.

How strange.

Have you tried logging Events in FSUIPC? The log might show what controls are being generated.

So what could it be ?Please give me some advice,going slowly to insanity...

I really have no idea. Nothing in any software I've ever been involved with has different affects in VC compared to 2D mode, except panning versus view selection. Certainly nothing to do with sending increments or decrements to an autopilot value.

More information is needed. Try the logging, always a good first step.

One thing that could help...

The VRInsight CDU Panel (not the II panel, the original) requires a 2D Panel to be displayed before it can send keystrokes to the CDU.

Maybe this is similar to this problem. Again, a longshot, but the two seem related.

it is strange indeed; many problems can occur in FS, but this one....aaarh.

I have logged this too, but decyphring it, is above my skill.

Do I have to log every parameter ? and may I send this to you or in this topic ?

You can paste the contents of the Log in a message here. It would be neater if you enlosed it, not as a Quote (like above) but as "code" -- the button looking like <> above.

I don't know how you've assigned the functions, if you have, or if they are supposed to emanate directly from the cpFlight driver. So we might need to proceed in steps. In the first instance, only put a check mark against "Events". Don't touch anything else on that tab at all. Not yet. Keep the session as short as possible, only enough to reproduce your problem. Then close FS. Paste up the whole log, and describe exactlyt what you did.

What didn't work? I didn't suggest anything, I was just making the point that some add-ons are funny with VC/2D Panels.

hi Pete,

I didn't assign anything from the MCP ; only Yoke and rudderpedals are assigned and calibrated via your module.

I made an eventlog from starting up the MCP untill set.(nothing touched)

I made also a second eventlog when changing spd and switching to VC, but as it was a too big log it couldn't be posted here.

Nevertheless when comparing the 2 logs, they seem quite identical, so I suppose this won't get us any further.
