skaskinb Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 Hi there Pete....I wanted to purchase FSUIPC again because I've bought a new computer. I chose the link to SimMarket from your official webpage, which reads FSUIPC4 and WideFS7 for FSX. I only realised afterwards that that link leads to the purchase page for WideFS7 ONLY, and mistakenly bought it (not actually looking at the top of the page, my fault, I know), thinking that the link lead me to FSUIPC4, as was suggested by the wording on your page. I have absolutely no need for WideFS7 whatever. Is there anything I can do about this? I purchased FSUIPC4 straight after, but am a bit sore that I am now stuck with a product I don't need. I apologise profusely if this is the wrong place to contact you on this one....but I can see no other contact point. Best regards, and thank you for a wonderful product (FSUIPC4!!) - am sure the other one is good too but I don't use it!! Cheers from Berlin, skaskinb
Andydigital Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 You need to open a support ticket at Simmarket and explain the situation to them, Pete has no control over the sales side of things, thats purely down to Simmarket.
skaskinb Posted May 8, 2011 Author Report Posted May 8, 2011 Thank you for your advice - I'll do just that. Cheers, skaskinb You need to open a support ticket at Simmarket and explain the situation to them, Pete has no control over the sales side of things, thats purely down to Simmarket.
Pete Dowson Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 I wanted to purchase FSUIPC again because I've bought a new computer. You don't need to buy FSUIPC again. It is licensed to you, not your computer. Which page is this, please? I don't actually have a website. Are you talking about the links in the Download Links subforum here, or Enrico Schiratti's "Dowson" page, or someplace else? [LATER] Ah, I've checked it on Enrico's page. It looks like he's lost a graphic recently -- there used to be two I think, one for FSUIPC and another for WideFS. I'll write to him and ask if he could change it. Thanks for letting me know. Unfortunately I've no direct control over that page. I have absolutely no need for WideFS7 whatever. Is there anything I can do about this? I purchased FSUIPC4 straight after, but am a bit sore that I am now stuck with a product I don't need. Well, you didn't need either if you've purchased before in any case. But I don't handle sales at all. Your only recourse is to appeal to SimMarket I'm afraid. Regards Pete
skaskinb Posted May 9, 2011 Author Report Posted May 9, 2011 Hey Pete Thank you for your reply. http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html is the page I used to link to SimMarket - I see that the author has changed the button links to SimMarket now to make more sense (one for FSUIPC, one for Widefs7, rather than just one for both) - too late for me, but at least it should stop others from making the same mistake. I've written to SimMarket, and live in hope, but I doubt it'll come to anything. Otherwise it's nearly 60 Euros down the drain. Cheers again for your assistance. skaskinb
