Pete Dowson
You posted your support question in the FAQ subforum, which is the place where I give answers to "Frequently Asked Questions". I've moved it for you into the proper place, the Support Forum. Lucky I noticed it -- it is easy to miss new posts in the subforums. For the first time I have the following problem. Want button nr 1 of mu Saitek yoke to activate Teamspeak "pushtotalk" F12. Have always been able to. Not now after motherboard burn out. FSUIPC4 and Widefs& regestered! ... Could you pleade give me an idea where to look for this? You've not provided me with any relevant information I'm afraid. To start with you've not even said whether the client is connecting to the server okay. I also need version numbers of FSUIPC4 and WideClient, Log files for WideServer and Wideclient, and details of the parameters you've entered to use KeySend. veelo
Hello Pete, First off all sorry that I misplaced my question. FSUIPC 4.703 sees the connection of both my sub computers. Parameter 1 and 2 used for pessing (Keep pressed to talk). For logs please see attachments. regards Pieter FSUIPC.log.rtf WIDEFSSERVER.log.rtf
Pete Dowson
FSUIPC 4.703 sees the connection of both my sub computers. Parameter 1 and 2 used for pessing (Keep pressed to talk). For logs please see attachments. I didn't need the FSUIPC log, but I need to see the WideClient log, please, and also the [buttons] section of the INI which has your Keysend assigned, and the WideClient INI. Rather than place links to uploaded files, you can paste them into your messages here. It would be less work for both of us. Attachments are suitable for long files, or non-text files, but otherwise just paste them in. If you like you can use the "code" quotes (the <> button above) to delineate them and maintain their formatting. Oh, BTW, first check that you set "UseSendInput=Yes" for WideClient. As stated in the WideFS technical guide, in the section on TeamSpeak, this appears to be needed for that program. Regards Pete

Pete Dowson
Wideclient.ini: That's the default INI file. If you've not added the required parameters to send your keypress it cannot do it! and cannot find Wideclient.log any where! In that case you've never even run WideClient, as it ALWAYS makes a log file when run! Regards Pete

Pete Dowson
As I could not find the log, I already guesed that something was wrong. So I disinstalled all of the Widefs and reloaded and reinstalled Widefs7. Assuming you mean WideClient (WideFS7 is really the server part of FSUIPC4) that wouldn't make any difference. There was nothing wrong with the last install except that you weren't actually running the program at all (hence no log), and the INI file had not been configured to do what you want! You not only need to install WideClient on the client PC, but you have to edit the INI file in order to tell it what to do when it sees your KeySend. All you've posted are files showing that at least this time you actualy rann WideClient, but that you still have not done anything to make your PTT work at all. But still no joy with the yoke button! It isn't surprising, is it, when WideClient has no idea what you want to do because you've not told it anything at all? Regards Pete

Pete Dowson
Sorry, but now I'm realy LOST! Before my motherboard burned out everything was running fine. I do remember some editing for F12 but that was with the FS9 version. I do not remember editing Wideclient with FSX. There is no change in WideClient between FS9 and FSX. There's only the one version of WideClient which can talk to ANY version of FS! You MUST have inserted the correct parameters in your INI file for it to ever work at all. You didn't have to change anything in the Client for FSX. Please help me out as looking it up in Google and even here gets me in all kinds of twists. Google? Why use Google? Why not just use the documentation supplied with wideFS? Look in the WideFS technical document for the section entitled: PTT (push to talk) for Roger Wilco, AVC and TeamSpeak and be sure to note the subsection there about TeamSpeak. All I know about driving these programs is there. I don't use any of that stuff myself. BTW, I did mention the WideFS technical guide and the bit about TeamSpeak in this thread two days ago, but you seem to have ignored that. :-( Regards Pete
