FSUIPC for FS9 in Windows 7

Recommended Posts

Hi Pete,

I am new to FS9.1 and also to Windows 7 but I wonder if you can kindly help me please.

I purchased FSUIPC 3 for FS9, which I succesfgully registered today

However when I go into FS9/Modules within FS9 the screen goes blank when I try to click on FSUIPC. SO I am unable to access the options within FSUIPC.

Also I have a Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System.

I have installed the Saitek drivers for Windows 7 for the quadrant and the Yoke, but when I fly FS9 the yoke seems to be all over the place now. When I accelerate using the throttle on the Quadrant it seems to activate the elevators and aerilons.

Any help would be much appreciated Pete, thank you.

Many thanks,

Chris

The options dialogue is a standard windows dialogue. The phenomenon of the screen blanking is always a video driver problem, where it isn't correctly handling FS's full screen mode. It it likely that the dialogue is in fact drawn behind the black FS screen, on the Windows desktop.

When you installed Windows 7 did you accept the drivers it installed, or did you go to nVidia or AMD and download the proper Win7 drivers for your video card? If you did'nt do the latter I'd strongly suggest you do so now.

Otherwise, your only option is to switch FS to windowed mode first -- ALT + ENTER.

i can't support Saitek goods. I suggest you ask them.

Pete

Thanks Pete for your prompt and courteous reply.

I shall update the drivers for Nvidia later.

Regarding FSUIPC I note that when I press the ALt Enter key It says that I should register via the installer, whcih i have already done earlier today.

I am using version 3.99

Any further suggestions?

Best Regards,

Chris

If it thinks you are still not registered it probably means the Installer has fallen foul of some recent changes in security in Windows. Download the latest FSUIPC.DLL update from Download Links subforum and put it into the FS Modules folder. That should do the trick. I'll be revising the Installer as soon as I've figured out what Microsoft's done.

Regards

Pete
