No matter what time I select int he Time and Season window in FSX, it will load the time I select and immediatly reload to a time in the middle of the night. My PC clocks are correct. I am running FSUIPC 4.719.

I am posting here because I had this problem before and reinstalled FSUIPC and the problem was solved. I did replace the dll but problem persists.

Any ideas?

I've not heard of this before, but that may not mean much.

The only thing I can think of is maybe FSX is changing time based on time zone???

I don't see anything within FSUIPC that would change the time unless you tell it to. I have a "control" setup to instantly set the time to 6am. But I had to program it to do that.

The only thing I can see that FSUIPC changes the time is it syncs up the seconds only.

Maybe your installation of FSX is having a nervous breakdown. Maybe a deeper look into FSX instead of FSUIPC.

Well darn. Let the computer sit for a few hours, fired it back up and now all is well.

You might be right, a nervouse breakdown that a nap cured.

Wish I knew what was going on.

Thanks,

You're running Microsoft Windows, right? Need I ask more?

This problem has returned. No matter what time I enter into FSX, FSX will reload to a time 4 hours earlier. I have disabled every application but FSUIPC but I see nothing in FSUIPC that would cause this. Additionally, I tried deleting the fsx.cfg file for a new rebuild. This did not solve the issue as well.

I am trying to avoid a re-load of FSX as it looks like a weekend project.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

I am aware of the EFB problem and it was one of the programs I eliminated when trying to isolate this problem.

Is there anything in FSUIPC that causes a time change and or FSX reload?

Thanks,

There is in FSUIPC but it only syncs the seconds, it doesn't touch minutes or hours as far as I can remember.

Edit: actually yes it can sync minutes but it still will not change the hours. Look at the Miscellaneous tab in FSUIPC.

Can you clarify what you mean by that? Do you mean that if you go into the World -- Time & Season menu and set a time, when you okay out of the menu, FS will adjust it by 4 hours? If so are you sure it isn't to do with time zones? GMT and your Local Time, in Houston, will differ by several hours.

There's nothing I know which will change the time to anything but the current time -- and the only programs I know that do that are EFB (as an option) and FS Real Time (again, only if you've selected the option). But there might be others. For instance, I don't know anything about on-line flying, and I see you list FSINN. Are you sure it isn't a function of FSINN or its partner FSCoPilot?

Obviously, to eliminate something doing it through FSUIPC (like FSRealTime), just try renaming FSUIPC4.DLL and loading FSX so it doesn't run.

As Andy says, there's nothing in FSUIPC itself touching the time unless you use its time sync facility, and that normally only adjusts seconds -- minutes optionally, at most.

As usual Pete, you helped solve another problem. It was a time sync fucntion in FSCopilot. I did not think to look there becuase I was not running FSinn but I guess copilot is always running.

Thanks, as always,
