Tip: Autosave and the PMDG NGX

Recommended Posts

With the release of the PMDG NGX I find myself in the position of needing to add more entries to the AlsoManage settings of the Autosave feature of FSUIPC4, if you don't include this snippet shown below and you use FSUIPC Autosave with the NGX you will over time end up with thousands of orphaned files in the folder FSX...\PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX\PanelState and they will all show up in the NGX load panel state page in the NGX FMC, if the number of files is allowed to increase indefinitely it is sure to crash FSX eventually.

Simply add the below text to the [AutoSave] section of the FSUIPC4.ini

AlsoManage1=PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX\PanelState\*.FLT.fmc
AlsoManage2=PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX\PanelState\*.FLT.sav
AlsoManage3=PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX\PanelState\*.FLT.0.rte

B.737NGX(PMDG).I noticed your "warning" which is important info.I have the PFC

unit and that with the B737 is causing me and others problems in spite of the

repro of the aircraft systems being very accurate.I wondered if you use the PFC

and as I live in Wilmslow I would welcome a chat with you.You would be welcome

to see my set up being local.If so how should we be in contact bearing in mind

security?Desmond.(trinidad).

Hi Desmond,

Sorry I do not have any PFC gear at all, it's a bit pricey for me. Pete uses some PFC gear I beleive he may be able to help as he has the NGX too.
