alpha117 Posted June 4, 2012 Report Posted June 4, 2012 Hi Pete Works Ok with the normal mouse but not on my controller. Using windows games controller setting, the mouse works OK in the properties window. How do I get it to work as the 'mouse trim' Regards Clive
Pete Dowson Posted June 4, 2012 Report Posted June 4, 2012 Works Ok with the normal mouse but not on my controller. Sorry, but the mouse wheel trim is only for devices recognised by Windows as mice, with mouse wheels. Using windows games controller setting, the mouse works OK in the properties window. Sorry, I've no idea how you are relating mouse facilities to games controllers. They are different devices. How do I get it to work as the 'mouse trim' You can't make a game controller look like a mouse -- not unless the controller driver allows it to emulate a mouse to Windows' satisfaction. Why on Earth do you want to use "mouse trim", which is a facility for folks with a mouse but unfortunately no game controllers. With a game controller you can assign directly to the elevator trim axes or the trim increment and decrement controls! Pete

If so, uninstall the software that came with your stick, run a registry cleaner like Ccleaner and download the latest versions from the Saitek web site. I have an X-52 Pro, and after installing the latest drivers and software, I can use the throttle mousewheel for trim. With mouselook enabled, I can use the little thumb stick to look round but while in this mode, the throttle mousewheel will zoom your view in and out. Disable mouselook and you will be back to trimming as before. You will find that you can really finely adjust the trim, and of course it frees up two buttons that might otherwise have been assigned to trim up and down. :)
