macfly73 Posted August 28, 2012 Report Posted August 28, 2012 Hi Pete My setup in FS9 mainly involves flying iFly 737s. All "joysticks" are set up/calibrated through FSUIPC (with FS9 joystick disabled. I recently adopted the profiles option and set up all the axes and buttons on a 737-700. I then added a few more aircraft liveries (all 737-700s) and all went well. The problem arose when I loaded 737-800 and 737-900 by ticking the box as usual but was disappoited to discover That although all axes and some buttons operated ok, those buttons (mainly on my home made MCP), which were configured using a mouse macro did not function at all. I would appreciate your help in this. I have attached a copy of my FSUIPC.cfg. Jim McQueen FSUIPC.txt
Pete Dowson Posted August 28, 2012 Report Posted August 28, 2012 The problem arose when I loaded 737-800 and 737-900 by ticking the box as usual but was disappoited to discover That although all axes and some buttons operated ok, those buttons (mainly on my home made MCP), which were configured using a mouse macro did not function at all. Mouse macros are completely dependent on the code in the Gauge modules being used. They are actually calls directly into code. If those aircraft have different gauge modules you'll need different mouse macros. Regards Pete
Andydigital Posted August 28, 2012 Report Posted August 28, 2012 Unfortunately iFly do use separate gauges for each variant of the 737 so you will have to build macros for each one.
macfly73 Posted August 29, 2012 Author Report Posted August 29, 2012 Hi Pete Thanks very much for your response. It is much appreciated. However does this mean I need to creat further profiles or will the new macro settings work with the original profie? Jim McQueen
Andydigital Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 You have to set up new profiles and new macros for every single variant, so that's like it's seven different aircraft in total.
macfly73 Posted August 29, 2012 Author Report Posted August 29, 2012 Hi Andy Thanks for your response too. This is the first time I have used a forum. Silly me! Cheers Jim
macfly73 Posted August 31, 2012 Author Report Posted August 31, 2012 Hi Pete and Andy Just got my 737-800 calibrated. A bit of a slog for an old guy but well worth it. Only another five models to go. Many thanks for your generous help. Regards Jim McQueen
