FSUIPC Fails to Start Error

Recommended Posts

I am getting an error message when attempting to start FSX. The error message is as follows:

Flight Simulator has detected a problem with a third-party software program (add-on):

Name: FSUIPC4 DLL: FS new universal IPC interface

Version: 4.853

Company: Peter L. Dowson

File: Modules\FSUIPC4.dll

Do you want to run this software (not recommended)?

To avoid seeing this message in the future, uninstall this program or disable its ability to start when running Flight Simulator. For more information about third-party programs, contact the publisher or see http:\www.fsinsider.com.

FSX was running fine. Shut it down, the restarted it and now this. I attempted to resinstall FSUIPC but to no avail. It is the registered version of FSUIPC. I am running Windows 8 64x and have not had any problems until this. Any ideas?

Oh and when I say yes I want to start it, FSX restarts. If I click no, FSX starts but I have no FSUIPC (Which means no OpusFSX etc. etc.) Thank you for your help.

Nick

I am getting an error message when attempting to start FSX. The error message is as follows:

This is a SimConnect problem which affects a very few people, but it is nonetheless very annoying.

There is a thread in the FAQ subforum called FSX fails to run after FSUIPC4 first installed.

Please read that.

BTW I'm pretty sure OpusFSX doesn't use FSUIPC.

Regards

Pete
