Hi all

I'm currently using the latest version(registered).

I remember that a few version ago, not sure which release it was; FSUIPC was reconnecting USB devices if they became 'disconnected' for what ever reason.

This was great for me as during a flight (FSX) my Saitek X52 stopped working; I had to remove the device by un plugging it then plugging it back in again, then going into FSUIPC and 'reloading the buttons'

When the version with this 'auto' re-connect' came out I never had any more dis-connection issues.

Now it seems it does not work and I'm back to 'dis-connection' issues with my X52.

Does the latest FSUIPC still have the functionality or have I missed something?

Many Thanks

Clive

I remember that a few version ago, not sure which release it was; FSUIPC was reconnecting USB devices if they became 'disconnected' for what ever reason.

You only had to look in the FSUIPC4 History document installed on your PC to see that it was version 4.88, which was the immediately preceding main release. Here is the entry in that document:

3 Unless prevented by setting
AutoScanDevices=No
, FSUIPC4 now automatically re-scans connections each time it detects any HID USB device connecting. It does this in any case on entry to the Options menu, but now it also does it during normal flight modes on USB changes. This may help get over problems some folks have with badly behaving devices or USB ports, albeit with a noticeable pause or hesitation (which actually occurs even without any action by FSUIPC to re-connect). A message is logged when this occurs. Note that this doesn't go so far as to allow reconnecting to different USB ports during flight modes.

This has not changed. The ONLY change in 4.90 is the removal of the signature check.

Regards

Pete
