lulu47
Hello Pete, First I would like to thank you for the fabulous FSUIPC addon that I use since many years now. Since a few weeks I have a problem with FSX real weather update every 15 minutes, my base airport is Brussels (Aerosoft) and the weather doesn't change anymore, it stays on winds 250/5!!! I don't use any wheather addon, just the FSX weather engine + FSUIPC 4.9.0.0 since a few weeks (before it was an older version of FSUIPC) in which I ticked some options in "winds" and "clouds". This appear suddently a few weeks ago on my old computer, since I have a new computer and I made of course a complete reinstallation of FSX Gold Edition (so with Accelaration), using FSUIPC 4.9.0.0 again (since today the 4.9.2.0 version) and the problem stays the same, always winds 250/5 in Brussels! I 've delete all settings made in FSUIPC, clicked on clear all weather, reboot the computer and still no real weather update in FSX! With the older version of FSUIPC (before 4.9.0.0) I never had this problem, so should it be possible that FSUIPC 4.9.0.0 version and the last one version could block the FSX weather engine? do you have maybe the solution? Here is the last FSUIPC log file... ********* FSUIPC4, Version 4.92 by Pete Dowson *********Running inside FSX on Windows 7Module base=616D0000User Name="Daniel Nile"User Addr="nile.daniel@hotmail.com"FSUIPC4 Key is providedWIDEFS7 not user registered, or expired 125 System time = 04/10/2013 11:20:51 125 FLT path = "C:\Users\Daniel\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files\" 328 Trying to connect to SimConnect Acc/SP2 Oct07 ... 328 FS path = "D:\Flight Simulator X\" 640 LogOptions=00000000 00000001 640 SIM1 Frictions access gained 640 Wind smoothing fix is fully installed 640 G3D.DLL fix attempt installed ok 640 SimConnect_Open succeeded: waiting to check version okay 640 Trying to use SimConnect Acc/SP2 Oct07 3245 Running in "Microsoft Flight Simulator X", Version: 10.0.61637.0 (SimConnect: 10.0.61259.0) 3245 Initialising SimConnect data requests now 3245 FSUIPC Menu entry added 3276 D:\Flight Simulator X\FLIGHTS\OTHER\FLTSIM.FLT 3276 D:\Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\Aircreation_582SL\Aircreation_582SL.AIR 27410 D:\Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 737-800NGX WL\B737-800WL.AIR 75037 Weather Mode now = Real World 100933 System time = 04/10/2013 11:22:32, Simulator time = 11:21:48 (10:21Z) 100933 Aircraft="PMDG 737-800NGX PMDG House Winglets" 106050 Starting everything now ... 107235 Advanced Weather Interface Enabled 145378 Sim stopped: average frame rate for last 46 secs = 35.7 fps 154426 System time = 04/10/2013 11:23:25, Simulator time = 11:22:32 (10:22Z) 154426 *** FSUIPC log file being closedAverage frame rate for running time of 46 secs = 35.7 fpsG3D fix: Passes 12780, Null pointers 0, Bad pointers 0, Separate instances 0Memory managed: 23 Allocs, 23 Freed********* FSUIPC Log file closed *********** And here is the actual FSUIPC configuration file... Pete Dowson
Since a few weeks I have a problem with FSX real weather update every 15 minutes, my base airport is Brussels (Aerosoft) and the weather doesn't change anymore, it stays on winds 250/5!!!I don't use any wheather addon, just the FSX weather engine FSUIPC has nothing to do with downloading and setting FSX real weather. The most likely thing is that the FSX weather server has closed down. Ask over in the AVSIM FSX forum -- there may still be a few folks trying to use Microsoft's weather. With the older version of FSUIPC (before 4.9.0.0) I never had this problem, so should it be possible that FSUIPC 4.9.0.0 version and the last one version could block the FSX weather engine? do you have maybe the solution? There's not been any changes whatsoever in the weather facilities in FSUIPC4 for FSX. They are minimal in any case. FSUIPC4 is unable to do much at all with FSX weather -- it can help weather programs set and read the weather, but it can do virtually nothing with FSX's own weather downloads. You are assuming wrongly it is anything to do with FSUIPC. It seems quite likely that now, with withdrawal of FSX support for Micxrosoft after 7 years since its release, that they have also withdrawn the weather download service. I don't know because I've never used it, the results of the better weather programs being so much better! Oh, similar outages by Microsoft have been reported from time to time. See for example http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?262601-Microsoft-Weather I really wouldn't be surprised if it disappeared permanently, but maybe this current outage is another temporary one. Ask around. Regards Pete
lulu47
Thank you very much for your very quick and complete respons Pete. It was just to be sure of the cause but it seems indeed that the FSX weather server has closed down, I will check on the AVSIM forum too, and if it's confirmed, make use of REX. Have a nice day Daniel
