beruben Posted April 12, 2014 Report Posted April 12, 2014 Hi good morning , I'm new on this forum , I had read a lot of other threads looking for something similar that is happening to me but with no luck . This is my issue : I got a cirrus ii from PFC with pedals yoke IRC and avionics panel with AP. I'm working in a 3 screen panoramic cockpit project with an instructor panel using wideview in other PC and other PC underneath showing the flight instruments on FSX. I have read all manuals of how to install the drivers from Pfc i have installed pfchild.exe and registered version of pfuicp, All the devices are recognized by the Pfc utilities and all the axes as well but when trying to use it direct with FSX y can't get the green crosses all I get is the first green check the second once I choose com 1 . I just discard that indication and start trying to use the sim but the elevator is not recognizable even in fsuicp . Also the avionics work but the frequency displays are off but Te knobs work correctly . I have tried configure the axis directly from windows with not succes not recognizable ... I really need help with this I have tryed everything and I'm getting really frustrated because the time and money I had expended . Please help !!

Please help !! Both FSUIPC and PFCHID produce log files showing what they are doing. They are in your Modules folder. Please show me those. All the devices are recognized by the Pfc utilities and all the axes as well but when trying to use it direct with FSX y can't get the green crosses all I get is the first green check the second once I choose com 1 You seem to have something all wrong there. PFCHID has no "green crosses" and nor is there ever any COM port to select. PFCHID is purely a USB driver. It sounds to me as if you've installed the Serial Port PFC driver, PFC.DLL or PFCFSX.DLL. You most certainly don't use that with a USB Cirrus! Pete
beruben Posted April 14, 2014 Author Report Posted April 14, 2014 Thanks for your answer Pete I really Apreciate the time you are taking to help ! Give me a few hours to send you the info you requested , right now I'm not close to the computer . I'll post you in a while thanks a lot!

You need to consider your answers to the business of running the wrong PFC driver before sending me anything. Pete
beruben Posted April 14, 2014 Author Report Posted April 14, 2014 Of course . Ok I'll try a reinstall all of the drivers or even a full uninstall of FSX . But I really not sure if I'm using the correct ones . I downloaded them as PFCusbfsx. Exe and it installs by itself the pfchild .dll and the pfcfsx.dll . Do you have a link where I can download the specific drivers ? So that way we discard bad diver installation . Thanks

Thanks The Download Links subforum here, and the Schiratti site which is pointed to by links in may documents and also on the FSUIPC purchase pages in SimMarket. I don't know why you are installing PFCFSX.DLL for a USB Cirrus. What is it you think you have on COM1? Pete
beruben Posted April 14, 2014 Author Report Posted April 14, 2014 Thanks I just followed the instructions found on the Pfc USB for FSX and they clearly specifies something about com1 actually com1 appears on green when I select it . But ok let me re check
Pete Dowson Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 Thanks I just followed the instructions found on the Pfc USB for FSX and they clearly specifies something about com1 actually com1 appears on green when I select it . But ok let me re check But no other green checks appear, meaning it finds nothing it can handle on COM1 -- all the green on COM1 means is that COM1 exists, i.e. it is a port on your PC. It's usually the unconnected one on the motherboard. You are supposed to select the COM port to which your equipment is connected -- i.e. the one which results in the other checks going green. But that equipment will not be a USB Cirrus because that driver does not drive any USB devices. Pete
beruben Posted April 15, 2014 Author Report Posted April 15, 2014 Hi Pete Sorry Ysterday I got really bussy. I already reinstalled everything as you told me with no success. Pete Dowson Posted April 15, 2014 Report Posted April 15, 2014 Hi Pete Sorry Ysterday I got really bussy. I already reinstalled everything as you told me with no success. All axes working but no the Elevator Here are the logs: So, you resolved the PFCFSX.DLL driver issue and removed it as being unneeded? The Cirrus yoke is a normal joystick device and not handled by my software. The only axes my software have to deal with on the Cirrus are those on the Throttle Quadrant - those 6 assignedhere: [Axes] 0=17X,256,D,4,9,0,0 1=17Y,256,D,10,0,0,0 2=17Z,256,D,5,17,0,0 3=17R,256,D,18,0,0,0 4=17U,256,D,6,13,0,0 5=17V,256,D,14,0,0,0 So, I suspect you have a fault. Have you asked PFC about all this? It is really their job to support their hardware. I can only help with my drivers. Incidentally, the elevator appears to be the ONLY one you've actually calibrated in FSUIPC, or at least operated the "SET" button for it. You've not actually calibrated the numbers at all. You should really calibrate the throttle quadrant axes. Pete
beruben Posted April 15, 2014 Author Report Posted April 15, 2014 Actually I Havent configured yet anything at all, but even in FSUICP the yoke is not showing any movement as the other do. The only issue is the elevator . The weird thing is when I open the PFC Harware Calibration it actually recognizes all the axes and bottons. But when trying to calibrate for example direct from windows harware recognizable as cirrusii ,the yoke seems to be frozen and only recognizes 2 of the yoke bottons , but actually can do anything to calibrate it. And on FSX everyhing work ok and can be calibrated only with FSUICP, FSX calibration or axes assigments cant be done from there.
Pete Dowson Posted April 15, 2014 Report Posted April 15, 2014 Actually I Havent configured yet anything at all, but even in FSUICP the yoke is not showing any movement as the other do. The only issue is the elevator Sorry, that's a bit confusing. The yoke has two axes -- elevator and aileron. The aileron should certainly show in FSUIC if it shows in FS. So the elevator can be seen moving in the PFC test program, but not in Windows "game controllers" control panel item, and not in FSUIPC or FSX? I really don't know then -- it sounds like a Windows joystick driver or registry problem. What about the other PFC devices I see listed? 1=PFC USB Pedals 2 2=PFC Remote Instrument Console 3=PFC Avionics Adaptor They all appear to categorised by Windows as Joystick type devices. My driver handles the latter two, or used to on the Cirrus Pro I had. Maybe PFC have changed things -- it was years ago I was last involved in PFC equipment. You do really need PFC help I think. Pete
beruben Posted April 15, 2014 Author Report Posted April 15, 2014 Thats right everything is working except the elevator even pedals RCI and avionics are working and fully operable , I tryed in a different pc and it is doing the same thing. Actually I have 2 cirrus ii and they have the same issue with FSX but they work perfectly fine only with X'plane

Actually I have 2 cirrus ii and they have the same issue with FSX but they work perfectly fine only with X'plane Hmm. Very strange. There's no difference software-wise between the aileron (X) axis and elevator (Y) axis on a yoke. I am really at a loss as to why one is seen and the other not. What did PFC say? Pete
beruben Posted April 15, 2014 Author Report Posted April 15, 2014 I already made contact with them but is kind of expensive they charge 150 dlls per issue. I was looking for other options but it seems that will be my last one...

beruben Posted April 15, 2014 Author Report Posted April 15, 2014 NO it was bought 3 years ago working with xplane and the maximum time for free support is 120 days
