Mouse look alternative

i wonder whether there might be an alternative to the 'hold down mousewheel' activation as i have a physical problem which precludes use of the mousewheel in that manner ... i do however have side buttons on my mouse ... any possibility of mapping the function to the right one of them which would involve my thumb which is usable ...

The mouse button press was always optional, and in fact added later than mouse look. There are assignable controls to turn on/off/toggle mouse look, as documented. Please see the drop-down assigments list for buttons or keypresses.
