sharky101 Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 Hi, I have a number of go flight modules and one of them is a GF TQ6 throttle quadrant that has 4 throttles, 4 reverse thrust and a spolier and flaps lever. I have registered with FSUIPC just now thinking it would solve the problem but it hasn't. In any jet the 1st Throttle stays at nearly full throttle but the others do not. I have tried to calibrate in FSX and then in FSUIP and its makes no change. I am using FSX acceleration so it has service pack 2 and Windows 8.1 I has taken me all day to get the modules to lighht up in FSX but calibration is not making any difference. I have also looked at the assigned controls in FSX and they are all correct. Can anyone help please. Thanks
Pete Dowson Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 In any jet the 1st Throttle stays at nearly full throttle but the others do not. Do you mean there's no response at all to any movement in that lever? If so, then it sounds like a wiring fault. FSUIPC cannot fix hardware which isn't working correctly. Its calibration facilities are just a more precise way of doing what FS should do in any case --it isn't essentially different. And in any case, you always first need to calibrate in Windows (the game controllers app, or properties for the device when selected). As the saying goes, "rubbish in, rubbish out". Better calibrated rubbish is still rubbish I'm afraid. Regards Pete
sharky101 Posted May 4, 2014 Author Report Posted May 4, 2014 Hi Peter all the controls register movement and I have calibrated in windows game controllers app and in FSX but when I go back into the cockpit the first throttle hovers around near full. Completely stumped on this one! Regards Chris
Pete Dowson Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 Hi Peter all the controls register movement and I have calibrated in windows game controllers app and in FSX but when I go back into the cockpit the first throttle hovers around near full. In that case the most likely thing is something else is also controlling the throttle. Check for other assignments, both in FSUIPC and FS. If you recently had a different throttle attachment which was assigned, and now it is disconnected, it could well be related to that. If you aren't sure about FSUIPC assignments show me your FSUIPC INI file -- past its contents in a message here. Pete
