tundrabum Posted June 28, 2014 Report Posted June 28, 2014 After loss of control problems, I downloaded and registered FSUIPC ver 4.934. I found lots of info on how to program the flight controls, which I accomplished without issues.. However, I have not been able to find any info on programming the hat switch to change views in the Virtual Cockpit. I am using a CH USB flight Sim Yoke. I would like to uncheck the FSX 'enable controls' button and only use FSUIPC, but this disables the hat switch. Any info on how to program the USB yokes 8 position hat switch to allow view control would be appreciated.
Pete Dowson Posted June 28, 2014 Report Posted June 28, 2014 In the axis assignments tab, assign the hat to the FS control "Pan view". That's the same as the default assignment for the hat in FS. Pete
ironcondor Posted January 14, 2017 Report Posted January 14, 2017 Hello Peter. I have assigned "Pan View" to my CH Products Yoke. Does not work. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I am on the latest P3D 3.4 build with Hotfix 2 installed. I also have a registered version of FSUIPC version 4.959. Thanks!
Gypsy Baron Posted January 14, 2017 Report Posted January 14, 2017 I use the "HotKeySelect=x" statements appended to the Aircraft.cfg file "[CameraDefinition.00Y]" entries for the VC views I want to access with a flick of the thumb on the 2nd hat switch of my X-45 stick. Once you add those HotKeySelect statements with "X" = 4,5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 you then go to the Controls Menu, Buttons / Keys and select the Event Category "Views" Near the bottom of that list you will see several "View camera X (select)" entries. Highlight the one where X matches your HotKeYSelect number and select "New Assignment" Activate the hat switch you want to use for that view. I assign my 'left' switch to the default VC view F9 key. Right switch to the Co-pilot if there is one. Paul Example of the HotKey entry: [CameraDefinition.001] Title = "Co-Pilot" Guid = {8ff6c134-098d-409f-baec-caba3f683f98} Origin = Virtual Cockpit MomentumEffect = YES SnapPbhAdjust = Swivel SnapPbhReturn = False PanPbhAdjust = Swivel PanPbhReturn = False Track = None ShowAxis = FALSE AllowZoom = TRUE InitialZoom = 0.7 //0.4 SmoothZoomTime = 2.0 ZoomPanScalar = 1.0 ShowWeather = Yes XyzAdjust = TRUE ShowLensFlare=TRUE Category = Cockpit Panacceleratortime=0 PitchPanRate=40 HeadingPanRate=40 InitialXyz=0.90, 0.0, 0.0 InitialPbh=20, 0, 0HotKeySelect=5 <======================== 1
