Hi,

I think something is wrong with either new FSUIPC or... but let me explain:

I moved onto new PC. So, everything got reinstalled - including newest version of FSUIPC - registered. In my previous PC I had my sim rate increase and decrease assigned to buttons in Joystick as this is not possible to be done via FSX itself. Now, I have repeated the same in new PC and... I get strange behaviour. My "-" and "=" keys are assigned to zoom in and out, togetehr with two buttons on the joystick. Other two buttons on the joystick are assigned to sim rate incr and decr. When things are assigned and I go back to FSX and change sim rate up or down, automatically my buttons for zoom in and out freak out and start to... increase sim rate speed up or down in scheme matching zoom in and out assigments. I have tried various combinations and everytime I end up in the same place - buttons/assigments freaking out (and me tooo). Looks like this is either not possible with new FSUIPC or I am definitely doing something wrong here.

Does anyone have a minute to have a look at my post and let me know where I am wrong?

Thanks and regards

Tomi

"New" FSUIPC? What was your "Old" FSUIPC? Version numbers are useful!!

The sorts of conflicts you are talking about are almost always due to dual assignments, probably having things assigned both in FSX and in FSUIPC. Go to FSX's assignments and disable controllers there. Then re-check. If that doesn't help, then maybe you tried re-using your FSUIPC4.INI file from your other PC and didn't take care to ensure that the controller attachments are recognised in the same way. For that we'd need to look at your FSUIPC4.INI file.

You can always use FSUIPC4's event logging facilities too, to check what is actually happening yourself. If you (temporarily) run FSX in Windowed mode you can use the Console Log to the the results of your buttons in real time.
