Hello,

there is a new download version of P3D, 2.5.12943.0. I tried to install FSUIPC 4.939, but it does not recognize the new download version of P3D 2.5.

Kindest regards

Arndt

There's also now 12944.

Though the Installer warns you about this, it doesn't prevent installation and having just checked here, FSUIPC sees to work fine. I'll do more thorough checking over the weekend and update the installer.

Hi Pete,

I don't see any hotfix 12944 on the Lockheed Martin website ! I see only the latest 12943.

Oh, they said they were releasing it yesterday afternoon. Strange.

Never mind, The current 4.939 works fine with 12942, 12943 and 12944.  You'll just get a warning from the current installer as it doesn't yet know about anything after 12942.

Version 4.939c is being released within the hour with a revised installer.

Hello Pete,

thank you very much for your fast reaction. I have installed 4.939c. Unfortunately it repeatedly caused a CTD at startup of P3D, and so I had to disable the modules folder within my P3D 2.5. installation.

Kind regards

Arndt

In my case (with FSUIPC 4.939c in P3D 2.5.12943) I got crashes with ai_player.dll being the faulting module.

When I removed 4.939c and reinstalled 4.939 the crashes stopped.

Apologies. Fixed in 4.939d, now available.

There, I knew I saw it somewhere. I just started a new thread about it, but the same issue goes here I guess. Sorry Pete.

I remember I had this issue in FSX:Steam as well. I'm not sure, but I think it went away after installing the latest update of FSUIPC. Now I finally migrated to P3D AND installed the latest hotfix. And frankly, I think the ai_player.dll crash appeared after this. I always install stuff so quickly after a full reinstall of Win7 that I tend to forget, sorry.

Anyways, I'm not using any form of AI traffic programs nor am I using AI traffic (set to 0 % in P3D). I also downloaded and applied the latest FSUIPC 4.939d (unregistered version) but the problem persists. Maybe I'm barking up the wrong three here, but this is my best chance I guess since the previous posters reported the same problems and cured them by installing FSUIPC. Here's a copy of the event dialog:

The latest version is not 4.939d but 4.939e.

FSUIPC has nothing to do with AI_Player excepting only that one hook, for AI deletion, and that isn't activated anyway unless you are using an FSUIPC client application which uses it, like AISmooth, AIDupe, AI traffic optimiser etc.

Shouldn't you have updated your Prepar3D to 12944 by now in any case? Don't you think that would be worth doing, to get up to date both with P3D and FSUIPC?

BTW, crash details in modules other than FSUIPC4 are generally of no use to me at all since I cannot support other folks programs and know little about the insides of most FS and P3D modules. The only use of the above report really was to show you are using 12943 instead the the current release 12944.

Hi again, Pete.

Yes, sorry, I'm now aware that my issue is not related nor may be fixed by FSUIPC so asking for help here is probably far fetched. I have applied the hotfix which should be 12944 version, but still it seems like my P3D is 12943. Thanks for the observation, Pete. That could well be the issue.
