Z axis assigment problems

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am trying to assign my Z axis to engine 2 thr. set but it dosent respon corretly. When I am in the 777 cocpit and move my secon lever (hotas thrustmaster) my speed brake arm move and my second engine starts its rew. thr.

My other lever is assign to engine 1 thr set. and works corretly.

What do I do about this?

Everything works just fine yesterday but today evrything is just messed up. Also I cant not get access to my controls (Saitek and Thrust Master) within P3D I can only assign with usinng FSUIPC.

The only way that sort of thing can happen is though multiple assignments of that same axis, probably both in FS (P3D?) and FSUIPC.  If you assign in FSUIPC you MUST disable controllers in FS (P3D).

Why can't you assign in P3D? Have you reported such a serious bug to L-M?

Hi Pete,

Sorry for not answering before now. Have been sick for a few days.

I deleted my FSUIPC folders and reinstalled it. After that process, I got my thrust levers properly working.

No, I have not send a ticket to LM. I can see that many others also have problems with the controllers (joysticks etc.) in P3D.

I do not know what the problem is all about. In my controls sections on P3D I can only choose the mouse yoke. My Saitek and Hotas Warthog is not even listed within P3D controls page.

Another question is how I can assign my levers to the reverse thrust and the same time use them as normal thrust levers? There is not a reverse range options on my Hotas Warthog. So I think that I have to assign a bottom to tell the software that now the levers is in reverse mode, or how??

My best regards,

Jim.

If you want a reverse range on the levers you can calibrate with one. But you'd need to put a mark or a notch somewhere on the device so you can set idle easily.

Many throttle systems actually have a button built in which is pressed by bringing the lever right back. If yours has this then you could simply assign that button to "throttle decr" (or "throttleN decr" for engine N)with repeat enabled. That what many folks with Saitek throttle quadrants do. Otherwise you'd need a button elsewhere so assigned.

Make sure the idle zone on the throttle lever is defined with a little latitude, so you can always guarantee to set true idle, as else you won't get a reliable reverse capability.

By the way. I remember something about a way to show the remaning memeory at the menu bar in P3D.

The reason is that I sometimes gets the OOM warning sound.

But I forgot how to enable it in FSUIPC.

Not sure what folks are doing, but Google using "VAS display FSX" and you will find lots of alternative methods, mostly more useful than having to have the title bar in view all the time.
