Reinstallation FSUIPC4 4.9 FSX / PMDG 737-800

Recommended Posts

Hi Pete,

After a crash I have to install all components again, amoung FSUIPC4

I replaced the backup FSUIPC4.ini in the map modules.
Start FSX
Open FSUIPC . Buttons + Switches (to start with)
Check the Profile specific box and get a drop down of

<<Cancel
>>New
>> New, based on...

but NOT the name of my profile 'FRANS4'
If I click on New, basen on, I only get Cancel.
Clicking on Cancel gives a new window for a new profile.

This is in the end of the  ini:

[ClientNames]
1=FRANS4

This was NOT in the ini

[Profile.FRANS4]

FSUIPC is never going to delete any of your valid INI file sections. If the ones you say were not in the INI, how did you show them to me here?

If they were not in the backup of your INI it must have been a corrupt or edited or abbreviated copy, not a true copy.

The [ClientNames]  section is nothing to do with Profiles. It is constructed to contain the names of your WideFS client PCs, and your entry says that at some stage you had a client PC named FRANS4 connected.

I suggest, since you obviously somehow have the missing sections, you add them back into the file where they should be.

Pete
