Button Screen ALT-Key

Recommended Posts

Hello,

If i press the ALT-Key on the Keyboard, the Menu appears in FSX/P3D,

if i press ALT-Key longer, the Menu disappears,

that´s the way I know and do.

I use the Button Screen Facility in WideFS, press the ALT-Key (programmed as described in the WideFS USer Guide.pdf)

and the menu in P3D appears, as it should.

Is there any way to let it press "longer" , resulting the menu in P3D disappearing ?

Kind Regards,

Thomas

You'd have to program it as a toggle, Press and Release separately.

Tried it, configured as a Toggle

Press: ALT (1=P64,28,K0,24)

Release: ALT (2=U64,28,K0,24)

The Menu Shows up, but stays there, does not hide.

Unlike in Windows, the ALT-Key must be Held down longer in FSX/P3D.

Kind Regards,

Thomas

I think the way that's being done in FS must be by-passing the normal message queue, reading the keyboard state instead. FSUIPC doesn't have enough privilege to hook that low in the Windows system I'm afraid. Sorry.
