flightman49 Posted May 14, 2015 Report Posted May 14, 2015 I ran make runways in prepar3d v 2. The runways that appear in prepar3d at airport KTPA are 18L, 18R 27, 36L, 36R, 9. These runways don't exist in the real world. The runways at KTPA are 01L, 01R,10,19L, 19R, 28. Why the discrepancy? Frank
Thomas Richter Posted May 14, 2015 Report Posted May 14, 2015 Hi, that question should go to LM because they created/ sell Prepar3D. If the standard scenery doesn't match real world then that's it, and my be a addon-scenery will do it correct. MakeRunways reads the active scenery files and gets those information from it, if it doesn't reflects to the real world it doesn't matter because the software (freeware) name 'MakeRunways' doesn't mean it makes any runway in FS, it only reads them and converts the information into readable files.
flightman49 Posted May 15, 2015 Author Report Posted May 15, 2015 OK ...Thanks . I'll see what I can find out on the LM board Frank
Paul Henty Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 They are also wrong in FSX. The data used for the airports is quite old. In January 2011 the runways were renumbered because of a change in the magnetic variation. There is only a one degree difference.
