I can make the adjustments in the FSUIPC4 menu but it will not change the functions in FSX. Is it my system that is not suitable or is there something I am missing. What is this "menu" which shows a change? The FS "menu" is the strip along the top, the one which has "Add-Ons" in it which you select to choose FSUIPC.
