FSUIPC cant find SimConnect

Hello,

i have problem with FSUIPC and SimConnect compatibility.

I have clean installed fsx, installed all SimConnect but FSUIPC cant find it.

 

Installer for FSUIPC4.DLL version 4.949

 

 

Looking in registry for FSX install path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\10.0

Parameter"SetupPath"

... >>> OK! FOUND FSX! <<< ...

SetupPath=C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX

 

Looking in registry for FSX-SE install path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DovetailGames\FSX

Parameter"Install_Path"

... >>> OK! FOUND FSX-SE! <<< ...

SetupPath=C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX

 

************ BUT this is the same path as for FSX! Will only install for FSX-SE ************

 

 

Looking in registry for Prepar3D v1 install path:

Not there, so looking in:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\LockheedMartin\Prepar3D

Parameter"AppPath"

... NOT found! ...

 

Looking in registry for Prepar3D v2 install path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2

Parameter"SetupPath"

Not there, so looking in:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2

Parameter"AppPath"

... NOT found! ...

 

Looking in registry for Prepar3D v3 install path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3

Not there, so looking in:

INSTALLATION FOR FSX-SE:

Checking version of the FSX-SE EXE:

... Version 10.0.62615.0 (Need at least 10.0.62607.0)

Checking compatibility with installed SimConnect:

... Failed to find a valid SimConnect needed to use FSUIPC4!

Please help me, i have no strength after 4 days of finding any workable fix.

I'm afraid this means exactly what it says. There are no suitable versions of SimConnect installed in your Winds\WinSxS folder.

 

FSUIPC isn't too fussy. For FSX-SE it will use FSX SimConnects (RTM, SP1 or SP1/ACC) and also the version 62615 one installed by FSX-SE.

 

Go to the folder Steam\steamapps\common\fsx\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK and you will find subfolders with all three of the FSX Simconnect installers. Execute each one of those in turn.

I've installed all .msi SimConnect files ( 4 versions in fsx folder ) and still the same, FSX reinstall not working.

Nevertheless, there SimConnect.DLL's are not found.  The installer (and FSUIPC itself for that matter) searches ALL folders in Windows WinXsS folder, first for folders entitled

 

*simconnect*<LVERS>*

 

where * matches any one or more characters and <LVERS> is any one of:

Then it just needs to find a SimConnect.dll file within that folder, to which FSUIPC then links directly. From your listing above there are no SimConnect.dll files?

 

This method has proved foolproof compared to the way Microsoft intended, through the ridiculously complex side-by-side manifest probe system which is the main reason many SimConnect client applications fail to connect.

I'm sorry but unfortunately I do not know what to do.

Where can i find .dll? In WinSxS is no simconnect.dll, only files that i posted it here.

I'm on Windows 10, hope that is no problem cause 1/2year ago i had win7 with working simconnect and fsuipc ( no errors, everything clean )

The installation attempts for SimConnect which you did must have failed then. With no DLL to connect to, nothing using SimConnect will work.

 

You could try deleting those folders you listed and trying again, but I recall that when I had a similar problem with SimConnect many years ago the only solution I found was to reinstall Windows and FS.  

 

You could try going to the Windows control panel "programs and features" and uninstalling all those Simconnects, then install them again. If that doesn't work, I suppose you could try reverting Windows to the last backup you made before installing FSX-SE, then installing again. Try those things before resorting to ire-installing Windows.

 

Windows XP was easier. You could just patch things in the Registry. But the WinSxS system since vista has become so complex it is impossible to follow.
