FSUIPC & TeamSpeak

Recommended Posts

Hi Pete,

I just switch to IVAO which uses TeamSpeak. Since TeamSpeak does not support joystick as PTT, external program is needed to set joystick key as PTT button. I am wondering if FSUIPC can do that.

Can I simply go to "Buttons + Switches" tab, set a joystick key to send "P" let's say,  then in TeamSpeak I set "P" as PTT button? Since TeamSpeak is not directly controlled by the sim and running behind the sim (not focused), does this method do the trick?

Only if TeamSpeak uses the Windows "hotkey" facility to get a keypress no matter how it is pressed. I think there are many folks who programmed PTT on a button for TeamSpeak. Have you searched? Check for instance the User Contributions subforum. Or is there a TeamSpeak forum?

I use TeamSpeak 3 and have no problems assigning a switch or button on my X-45 throttle quadrant for the PTT function.

As long as TS3 'sees' the switch or button it can be set as the PTT switch.

Unfortunately IvAp only supports TeamSpeak v2 which does not detect game controllers and joysticks...
