I am having trouble with aerosofts flight data recorder in the twin otter extended plane. I am curious if fsuipc might remedy the problem. I want to record flights and import them into google earth. Any suggestions helpful.

Hi,

FSUIPC might be used to read FS data or not. If FSUIPC isn't used by aerosoft's software you use because they might use SimConnect instead then FSUIPC can not improve any behaviour of that software and if FSUIPC is used already by that software then it is as it is.

The first place to look for a solution wood be areosoft forum, did you try that?

Thanks Tom, Yes, I have contacted Aerosoft but unfortunately nothing has worked. Perhaps there is a standalone FDR that might work. It would be nice to import flights into google earth. I was hoping Pete may have integrated a FDR into fsuipc or something that I wasn't aware of. I haven't been in here for a long time.

No, not integrated but may be there is some Lua file around in the forum that would be useful for it.

(blatant plug) You can always give simFDR a whirl - it's in an open beta and can record and save all of your flights for you.

Thanks Luke, Right now the demo file fails the download.

It's probably a good thing you got going if you can get it work well. I'll help you out with the beta testing when I can.

True, this is Pete's forum. I got the FDR to work finally. I'll look into your software. I'm just an over the hill enthusiast and wouldn't really use it. Looks good though. Enjoy
