Richard Macdonald Woods Posted May 30, 2017 Report Posted May 30, 2017 I have been a licensed user of FSUIPC 'since the world began' - so long, in fact, that I have completely forgotten why I have it! The Schiratti site does not give any definition for its role other than as an interprocess communication tool. As I intend to use only P3Dv4 and PMDG777, plus many airport sceneries, is there any need for me to license the new FSUIPC when available?
shortspecialbus Posted May 30, 2017 Report Posted May 30, 2017 If you don't know why you need it, you can probably skip it until you come across a reason to need it. I personally will be purchasing it immediately to get aircraft control profiles and LUA scripts and the like set up. If you use none of that, then you probably do not need it these days. -stefan

No. Not if you don't know if you need it. 2 hours ago, Richard Macdonald Woods said: The Schiratti site does not give any definition for its role other than as an interprocess communication tool. Why should it? That's just a download site. The explanation is in the User Guide which is installed for free when you download and install for free. You never have needed to register it to read it's why's and wherefore's! Pete
windquest Posted May 30, 2017 Report Posted May 30, 2017 I honestly don't know how anyone flies without it. Wonderful calibration of controls, assignment of controls for each airplane if you want. Scripts and more. I can't remember not using the PAID version, but as Pete said, you can get the free version and read the manual. And do read it, because questions that are answered in the manual won't be answered here! Henry
