Alistair J Munro Posted July 9, 2017 Report Posted July 9, 2017 I have just upgraded to latest version of FSUIPC 5. The installer reports everything ok, but doesn't load with P3d V4. No idea what might be wrong. Can anybody help? Install log attached if that's any help. I run P3D as an admin and installed as an admin also. FSUIPC5 Install.log
Alistair J Munro Posted July 9, 2017 Author Report Posted July 9, 2017 My dll.xml reads... <?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?> <SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0"> <Descr>Launch</Descr> <Filename>dll.xml</Filename> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad> <Launch.Addon> <Name>FSUIPC 5</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>Modules\FSUIPC5.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> </SimBase.Document>

Alistair J Munro Posted July 9, 2017 Author Report Posted July 9, 2017 It get's weirder. I've found the fsuipc5.dll being installed is a 0byte file.
Thomas Richter Posted July 9, 2017 Report Posted July 9, 2017 That sounds like a virus checker is involved! Thomas 1
Alistair J Munro Posted July 9, 2017 Author Report Posted July 9, 2017 Only have default Win 10 Defender. But I take your point, so I switched it off for a second, and tried a reinstall. No joy, the same 0 byte file. FYI - It's the same in the FSUIPC documentation folder in Modules, all the PDFs are 0 byte files. I've checked the permissions on e: and the P3D V4 folder, all fine.
Thomas Richter Posted July 10, 2017 Report Posted July 10, 2017 Hi, did you re-download the installer to make sure you don't have a damaged file? Thomas 1

Thomas I thought I had tried everything, but then I tried the compatibility Wizard in Win10, and whaddya know, it suddenly worked! Weird!
Thomas Richter Posted July 10, 2017 Report Posted July 10, 2017 Hi, very weird but good to know. Thanks! Thomas 1
