black-hawk Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 Anyone know how can solve this problem? When after crash fs2004 restart in epicmapper I receive a message: SYSTEM: WideFS/WideClient has stopped responding. Shutting down I must Reload FS9 and EPICMAPPER I use FSUIPC 3.11 and WideFS 6.101 and Y added in the ini file of FSUIPC MakeItVersionFS2002=yes Ettore Mele http://www.747-400.it
Pete Dowson Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 When after crash fs2004 restart in epicmapper I receive a message: SYSTEM: WideFS/WideClient has stopped responding. Shutting down I must Reload FS9 and EPICMAPPER Do you mean an aircraft crash or an FS crash? There's a lot of difference! If you mean simply an aircraft crash, then it sounds like EpicMapper has a timeout which is too tight for the amount of time it takes your system to recover from that crash -- reloading scenery, aircraft, et cetera. You'll need to contact the EpicMapper folks about that. Are you running it on a Client or on the FS PC? Why you should need to reload FS9, I don't know. Maybe Epicmapper is closing without closing its FSUIPC link, which will cause problems with references to memory mapped files crashing FS or WideClient. I use FSUIPC 3.11 and WideFS 6.101 and Y added in the ini file of FSUIPC MakeItVersionFS2002=yes Why are you adding that parameter? It make FSUIPC lie to programs, telling it they are running on FS2002 even if they are not. Regards, Pete

Pete Dowson Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 When crash with plane!FS2004 don't crash only EPICMAPPER replay SYSTEM: WideFS/WideClient has stopped responding. Shutting down and I must Reload FS9 and EPICMAPPER Why must you reload FS9 because EPICMAPPER shuts down? This really is a problem for EPICMAPPER support. I do not know the program, sorry. Go to their support and show them the message. Maybe they have a fix already. If you think you have a WideFS problem, then please check the Logs. There will be both a WideServer.Log (in the FS Modules folder) and a WideClient.Log (in the folder from which you run WideClient). Whether these are relevant I have no idea. You don't say whether you are even running EPICMAPPER on a Client PC or not! Pete
