Skino2412 Posted June 11, 2021 Report Posted June 11, 2021 I would like to monitor the INIT button of the Jehell MCDU. There is an offset for the key to trigger the function. Unfortunately there is no offset that shows if the key was pressed. Is there a way to monitor if the offset was sent? Peter
Paul Henty Posted June 11, 2021 Report Posted June 11, 2021 Quote Is there a way to monitor if the offset was sent? Not really. You can try reading that offset looking for 59. But you might miss it if you read it too slowly, or if the aircraft software resets the value to 0 too quickly. Also, if the user presses the Init button in the sim, that isn't going to show up at all in that offset. Generally, when reading data from the Sim , you're reading the effects of pressing the button, not the buttons themselves. e.g. you're detecting the autopilot being switched on/off, not the pilot pressing the autopilot toggle button. Skino2412 Posted June 12, 2021 Author Report Posted June 12, 2021 Thank you for the as always quick and competent response. Since I will probably have to come up with something else.
