FSUIPC Error when starting FSX. Help!

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I can run FSX on its own. But when I try to run FSUIPC, it shows "Flight Simulator has detected a problem with a third -party software program (add-on) . It then gives me the option to run this software (not recommended). If I choose Yes, FSX does not finish loading. If I choose No, it finishes loading and has no issues.  Please help. I am not very technically savvy. I just purchased the FSFlyingSchool program to learn how to fly, but it needs FSUIPC to run.

Hopefully You find all the information needed. Please forgive me if I forget anything or erroneously put something that is not needed.

Your issue looks very similar to this one:

Please follow the advise in that thread, i.e.
    - first check your version of FSX-SE is up-to-date (via the steam client)
    -  see if there's a SimConnect.dll in the same folder as the FSX.EXE (main program)? If not see if you can find the version 62607 SimConnect.DLL in the WinSXS folders. If you can, copy it to the main FSX folder. If there is one there, try temporarily removing (e.g, rename to SimConnect.dll.unused) and see if it finds the WinSxS folder.

Its also strange that the crash is in the ai_player.dll, as in the support request I referenced...

Note that the FSUIPC4.ini file you attached is empty!

Thank you John ,

I had tried the fixes mentioned in Jaden's post but it had not resolved the issue for me.

But upon renaming the SimConnect.dll as unused did the trick. It is now working.

Thank you.
