farlinoff Posted October 29, 2021 Report Posted October 29, 2021 I'm not sure whether this is the right place to be asking this but I thought I'd try anyway. Back in 2015 I purchased FSUIPC and WIDEFS7, installed them successfully on a machine running FSX. I no longer use this machine for FSX which I have moved to a Windows 10 machine. My original order is recorded on SIMMARKET where I purchased FSUIPC and WIDEFS7 and I am able to download download PETE DOWSON - FSUIPC4 software and I have the keys for FSUIPC and WIDEFS7. I go through the install process, enter the keys but I keep receiving an error saying that I haven't purchased a registration key. I have contacted SIMMARKET but they have been unable to help and suggest I haven't typed in the keys correctly. It may be that the original installation is preventing me from transferring my FSUIPC and WIDEFS7? The original purchase was EUR 36.00 which is considerable and I am reluctant to spend this amount again unless it is necessary. Any assistance would be welcome Regards, Trevor
John Dowson Posted October 29, 2021 Report Posted October 29, 2021 Your FSUIPC4 key will still be valid. If you entered your details previously (on your old PC) and they validated there then they will do again on your new PC. Both the name and address/email parts must exactly match those specified in your SimMarket account/purchase email. You can also just transfer the key file (FSUIPC4.key) from your old PC, if available, to your new one. John
farlinoff Posted October 31, 2021 Author Report Posted October 31, 2021 Hi John, Thanks very much for your reply to my post and apologies of taking so long to get back to you. I located the FSUIPC4.key file in my original installation of FSX on my old machine and copied this file to the correct directory on my new machine. Unfortunately that still gave me an error saying FS real Time (Unregistered) see my attachment. Also, you can see FS Real Time has connected to FSUIPC v4.97 which is encouraging but the (Unregistered) message still appears. What I would like to know what is unregistered? and how I can get over this stumbling block, any further ideas would be most welcome. Regards, Trevor
John Dowson Posted October 31, 2021 Report Posted October 31, 2021 (edited) Hi Trevor, that looks like FS Real Time is unregistered. You need FS Real Time support, sorry - I can't help with that. To check if FSUIPC is registered or no, open FSUIPC or check your FSUIPC4.log file. However, I suspect FS Real Time only uses the unregistered facilities of FSUIPC, so if just using FSUIPC for FS Real Time, you probably don't require an FSUIPC license. Cheers, John P.S. You are using quite an old version of FSUIPC4 - you should update to the latest version, v4.976. Only the latest version is supported. Edited October 31, 2021 by John Dowson PS added
aua668 Posted October 31, 2021 Report Posted October 31, 2021 Hi, Check the uer guide of FS Realtime, how to enter your registration key, which you received for FS Realtime. Rgds Reinhard realtime_userguide.zip
farlinoff Posted November 1, 2021 Author Report Posted November 1, 2021 Hi John and Reinhard, Thank you for responding to my questions about FS Real Time. I have finally had success. When I looked back at my FS Real Time installation on my old machine, I found a file called registration.ini and it contained name and a key, I simply used those two to register FS Real Time and all is working! One further question how do I obtain FSUIPC4 version 4.976? and then is it simply to replace my current FSUIPC4 with FSUIPC v.976? Regards Trevor

From the Download Links -> Updated Modules section of this forum, or over at www.fsuipc.com. 1 hour ago, farlinoff said: and then is it simply to replace my current FSUIPC4 with FSUIPC v.976? Yes - just run the installer and it will replace the dll. John
farlinoff Posted November 1, 2021 Author Report Posted November 1, 2021 Hi John Thanks for that, in the mean time I found a link in Simmarket web site at the page (see below). Once again, my sincere thanks for all the help I have been given by several other members! Regards Trevor
