Rotary Encoders in FSlabs A320

Recommended Posts

Can you please help me use rotary encoders to turn rotary switches on the FSLabs A320 on P3D v5?

I have build a simple FCU and EFIS switch box and have included rotary encoders.  I have little or no experience of coding.  I can enable the simple switches easily enough in FSUIPV v6

How for example would you emulate to turning of the Baro switch.  I know that the parameters are as follows but using the button portion of FSUIPC either has the baro figure going up and down by one digit only, or I can only have it go up or only have it go down; not both.

Baro inc (rotor brake) 66587 / (parameter) 71085

Baro Dec (rotor brake) 66587 / (parameter) 71086

Many thanks

Liam

To implement fast/slow turning on a rotary that has only 1 button in each direction, you can use a lua script. There is one provided, called rotaries.lua (see the Lua Plug-ins document, and the examples are in the zip file). This converts your rotary button presses to fast and slow virtual button presses in each direction, to which you can then assign your controls.
