gucc3301
The only reason I think fsuipc 7 is causing ctd is because when I rename exe to jlg or anything but jlg, my sim does not crash....
John Dowson
First you posted in an incorrect forum and in an unrelated topic, and then you post again and still do not provide any information, such as your FSUIPC7.log or the crash report from the event viewer... gucc3301
I have since run MSFS without FSUIPC and still have CTD so yes I would have to imagine that confirms FSUIPC is not causing ctd.... but i wanted to send log files and any info I had just because I have no clue what is causing the crash... gucc3301
Maybe you could give me a link to the proper forum location for this thread? I just see the linker showing the .json or java files having problems with a few of my different addons.. And I am new posting here so my apologies. I tried to register fsuipc but will have to try harder to figure that out..
gucc3301
I got bad info from the following link... Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS2020) crashes when FSUIPC crashes - Reports - TFDi Design Forums

Not sure what you mean by this...this IS the proper location... 16 hours ago, gucc3301 said: I tried to register fsuipc but will have to try harder to figure that out.. You register via the installer, at the end of the installation process. If you are using the trial license, just save that to your FSUIPC7 installation folder. 16 hours ago, gucc3301 said: I got bad info from the following link... Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS2020) crashes when FSUIPC crashes - Reports - TFDi Design Forums That is an old post, as is the FSUIPC support request it references. And if you follow that thread you will see that this was an Asobo issue, which (I assume) has since been addressed. Your log shows that FSUIPC7 exited due to MSFS no longer being available, i.e MSFS closed/crashed and so FSUIPC exiited.
gucc3301
Ok Thanks... I moved on to thinking maybe the ctd was caused by that linker program I was running. Testing it out now.
gucc3301
The linker program is the one I had the screen shot of above.

I don't think that can be causing a CTD. I'm also not sure why it cannot read the FSUIPC7 WASM manifest.json file. I do have this utility downloaded/installed, but haven't gotten around to trying it yet. I will do over the next few days to see if I can find out why it doesn't like the manifest. Just tried the MSFS Add-on Linker and it seems to be working fine here (I have a steam install): If using an MS Store installation, check the Add-on linker documentation as I think there can be permissions issues for that type of installation.
