It launches MSFS 2020 on PC ( via Steam) and the ACARS program for my virtual airline works with it. But I was told it would allow better joystick mapping than what I've done inside MSFS ( which recognized my Logitech 3D Pro ). Is the enhanced mapping something for the future/ in development? I was going to say it appears that in the batch file that launches msfs, FSUIPC7 is not launched. ( commented out) But then I noticed that after MSFS loads, the icon and options show up in the system tray. Under your windows Documents folder, in a sub-folder called FSUIPC7. The install locations are documented in the Installing and Registering FSUIPC7.pdf, which is included in the FSUIPC7 zip file you downloaded (and also in the FSUIPC7 Documents folder).
