FSUIPC Ver. 7.3.3. Start of programs fails

Hi from Austria,

since some days programs startet from FSUIPS.INI fail. FSUIPC starts only mainprogram, but no corresponding *.INI files. 

This was since years ok, but I think it depens on 7.3.3.

runif1=READY,KILL,C:\Program Files\IOCards\iocard.exe
 

 

Today I tested an old version (7.0.2) and everything is ok.

As the directory name contains spaces, you need to use quotes, i.e.

runif1=READY,KILL,"C:\Program Files\IOCards\iocard.exe"
 

Changes were made as there were issues when using command line arguments to programs that were startted by FSUIPC. Can't remember the version for these changes (but quite a while ago now)  - check the changes file or the history document.

PS: now I must find the reason, why EXE.xml does not start FSUIPC since some days. 
In the moment I am reading some postings about.

In the moment I start via MSFS.BAT as done before. 
Maybe the reason of non starting is the last MSFS Update.

If you still have issues with this, attach your EXE.xml and InstallFSUIPC7.log and I will take a look.

When I start MSFS2020 via your MSFS.bat (unmodified, original as you attached) the autostart of FSUIPC is ok.
When I start MSFS2020 directly, then the autostart of FSUIPC fails. 

But it is no problem for me, to start via MSFS.bat

When you say 'unmodified, original as you attached', what do you mean? I haven't attached anything... Do you mean the one installed, unmodified?
If so, then I don't understand this at all, as all the batch file does is display a splash screen and the start MSFS in the same way as it starts when you start it 'directly'.
Do you have an MSFS Store or steam version? What is the location of your EXE.xml file? I did ask for your InstallFSUIPC7.log file (and not the FSUIPC7.log file), which would tell me this...

Other than that, your EXE.xml looks ok, although the SimBase.Document version is '1.0' and not '1,0' (which is what the FSUIPC7 installer would use), but this shouldn't make a difference.

I have no idea, while start via MSFS.BAT is ok, but not without.

Since some days (Update 9 ?) everything is ok now. It starts w/o problems and w/o MSFS.BAT now.

Ok, thanks for the update. I have no idea what previously prevented FSUIPC7 from starting. Very strange!

You seem to keep having the same issues...but I really can't say any more in the auto-start than I have already....

I think we can close this now:

since latest update of fs2020 (beta 11) FSUIPC starts everytime now.

Auto-start is working fine here (Steam install)- always has. I don't know why so many people are having issues with this, but id you have checked everything mentioned in the FAQ entry on this topic and it still doesn't work, you should raise a bug report with Asobo, as it is MSFS that should do the auto-start via the EXE.xml. If that file is correctly formatted, and all your permissions and privileges are correct, then it is an MSFS issue.

I am sorry, I made a mistake!

After leaving the beta-tester- group FS2020 was automatically installed new and all .INI files and the community folder were deleted. And the exe.xml too!

After reinstalling FSUIPC everyting is working fine now!!
