Hi John or Pete.

Is it possible to add an additional custom Autosave option to save the Weather section in the .FLT file in a way where the loaded Saved flight

gives access to the weather option icon in the MSFS toolbar menu where the user knows real weather is still being used and also gives access

to be able to manually set your time of choice or back to real time which is what I actually use myself if continuing a saved or even crashed flight?

Currently (SU9) time can only be set in hourly increments when only in Dev Mode in MSFS which in turns also disables any flight logging in the logbook.

From:

[Weather]
UseWeatherFile=False
UseLiveWeather=True
WeatherPresetFile=
WeatherCanBeLive=False
CloudmapPosOverride=False
CloudmapInitialPosX=0
CloudmapInitialPosY=0
FixedClouds=False

To:  Optional

[Weather]
UseLiveWeather=True
WeatherCanBeLive=True

The format if the .FLT file is defined by MSFS/Asobo and cannot be changed. All FSUIPC can do is use the facilities provided by the SDK, which only allows flight files to be saved and loaded. What is actually saved and loaded is up to the SDK. Any request for changes in what is saved (and loaded) should be addressed to Asobo/MSFS.

There is also no access to the weather engine from the SDK.

Thanks John,

I guess I will wind up writing a batch file to fix this.

Unfortunately I am to familiar with their electric fence issue regarding the WX engine and the SDK.
