FSUIPC7 Auto Save not working properley

The FSUIPC auto-save function relies on functions provided by the SDK to save and load flights. If it isn't functioning correctly, there isn't much I can do. What aircraft are you using? If you let me know (and I have that aircraft), I can take a look, but I don't think I can do anything. Looking at the SDK documentation for the save flight function, it is still documented as NOTE: The current status of this function is NO ERROR, NO RESPONSE, which  indicates that this function is still not fully working. This should be fixed by Asobo in a future release.

I am using the basic Cessna 172 (i,e. the one without the Garmin 1000 glass cockpit).

I'm pretty sure I've tested the auto-save with that aircraft before (but a while ago now) and I think it was working for me, more or less. Not sure though, so I will check again next week.

There are plenty of SDK updates planned by Asobo for the SU10/SU11 releases so hopefully this will be fixed in a future update.

FSUIPCs autosave feature is one of the main reasons I used FSUIPC in P3D.

And now that the airliners are starting to arrive in MSFS, with the long-range ones coming soon, the autosave feature will be more important than ever. So its vital that it works well.

Unfortunately, FSUIPC autosave alone isnt enough, 3rd party aircraft will also need a panel autosave feature so that it can be reloaded too. No one wants to reload at 35,000 feet with a cold & dark panel. 😂

FSUIPC auto-save just calls the MSFS/P3D SimConnect SDK function to save/load flights (although you can also save/reload the FSUIPC data). If aircraft panel state needs to be saved, then the FS should also save this data. However, this is a mute point at the moment - the MSFS SDK function is still not working correctly (and documented as such). Hopefully this will be addressed in one of the coming MSFS updates...hopefully the one planned for the 23rd. The next SDK update should have quite a few improvements (looking at the development road map), but unfortunately I haven't see anything relating to the save/load flight functions., or many specific details on the SimConnect SDK...

Do you know if Volanta's autosave uses the same method to save flights? It seems to be working correctly currently.

It's locked behind a subscription unfortunately so I'm still leaning towards using FSUIPC for autosaves.

I don't know Volante so can't really comment. but I don't know how a flight can be saved without using the provided SDK function SimConnect_FlightSave  - still documented as: NOTE: The current status of this function is NO ERROR, NO RESPONSE.
