Where can I find this oh so important button's code? "FPM" ( in autopilot/bendix king kap-140 (Cessna 172/MSFS2020)

Dear all,

 

 

While setting up/testing all the AP switches for my Bendix Kap-140 AP, I 've encountered a problem...(MSFS/Cessna 172/Mobiflight)

 

When I'm in the sim,and I click the AP's "ALT" button (with my mouse!) , it will Toggle between ALT (ft light goes on,and I can enter the height) and VS ( fpm!!!!/feet per minute) light goes on,and I can enter the "VS speed" with the "UP'+"DWN" button.(fpm light showing in the ap sim

But where is this VS mode fpm setting or is there a turnaround?? Help/suggestions are highly appreciated!!!

Are you using the default KAP140 or the mod (see https://github.com/FS2020-USER-TESTER/KAP140-MOD-PACKAGE/releases)?

Not 100% sure what you mean by this (as there is no VS mode button on the KAP140!), but from the mod README.txt (which I have attached):

Quote

    On AP turn-on, the actual KAP140 AP will enter ‘Wing Leveler’ and
    capture the current vertical speed. This behavior can be selected in
    airplanes system.cfg but in case this default is not present in that
    file, the MOD will force this behavior. When forced by Mod, the VS
    is restricted to be between +700 to -1500.

Thanks a lot for your clear answer,
I was using the default (Cessna 172 Kap-140 AP) AP.

I didn’t know about the existence of Presets  
and update for the Kap-140,I’ll dive into it tonight for sure!;)
