FSUIPC7 Restart Question

John,

If I exit FSUIPC7 while the sim is running, say to make a change in a Lua script that is listed under [Auto], and then restart FSUIPC7 by directly running the FSUIPC7.exe file (e.g., double click it), it seems the Lua scripts listed under [Auto] are not reloaded. So the sim has to be restarted to get the [Auto] scripts restarted. Is there a way to trigger the automatic restart of the [Auto] scripts without restarting the sim?

No they are not - they are only loaded om first aircraft load or on an aircraft change. When you start FSUIPC7 with MSFS running and an aircraft already loaded, lua autos will not be started.

You would have to assign a button or key to start the lua script or scripts..

I will look into seeing if I can also start the lua [Auto] scripts in such situations.

In the next release, FSUIPC7 will auto-start luas when FSUIPC7 is started/restarted when MSFS is running and has an aircraft loaded (i.e. it is out of the main menu system).
You can also try the attached beta version (7.3.11a) that has this implemented. In this version, I have also delayed the starting of other threads, including WideServer, until and aircraft is loaded and ready-to-fly.

It seems under SU11 FSUIPC7 no longer will auto-start luas when FSUIPC7 is started/restarted when MSFS is running and has an aircraft loaded, at least not on my system.

This seems strange...are lvars available? Luas are auto-started once the lvars have been received, so if luas aren't started then lvars will also not be available...

I am updating now and will take a look later...

This is working ok here... Could you show me your FSUIPC7.ini and a log file produced with WAPI debug level logging enabled.

I reinstalled FSUIPC7 and all is now working. I should have thought of trying that before bothering you with this -- sorry.
