JboiLA Posted October 12, 2022 Report Posted October 12, 2022 I apologize for another thread about this problem, but I still cannot get the PMDG 737 parking brake to set, or operate for that matter. Toes brakes are engaged with my feet and when I click the parking brake nothing happens, but only the usual sounds as it is trying to be engaged. I have read so many topics regarding this issue and I am frustrated. I could use some help on this matter. as I am not sure if I am doing something correctly. MSFS is a totally different beast than P3D v4.5 and a big learning curve to get settings right. Some background on my settings: Hardware = Saitek yoke, throttle quadrant and pedals Spad.next registered version with latest update. All assignments confirmed erased and only using Sim-connect default connection. I updated PMDG 737-700 (and 800) today to the latest version Registered FSUIPC is currently at version 7.3.11 as of today MSFS all axes and what-not confirmed deleted and only having FSUIPC control everything Here is my current FSUIPC.ini settings: [Sounds] Device1=Primary Sound Driver Device2=Speakers (4- Bose USB Audio) Device3=Realtek Digital Output (Realtek High Definition Audio) Device4=Realtek Digital Output(Optical) (Realtek High Definition Audio) Device5=Headset Earphone (HyperX Virtual Surround Sound) [General] UpdatedByVersion=7311 PMDG737offsets=Auto UseSystemTime=No JoystickTimeout=20 DisconnTrimForAP=No ZeroElevForAPAlt=No ThrottleSyncAll=No EnableExtraButtons=Yes ShowPMcontrols=No SpoilerIncrement=512 MagicBattery=No RudderSpikeRemoval=No ElevatorSpikeRemoval=No AileronSpikeRemoval=No ReversedElevatorTrim=No ClockSync=No ClockSyncMins=5 ClearWeatherDynamics=No PauseAfterCrash=No SaveDataWithFlights=No UseProfiles=Yes WideLuaGlobals=Yes InvokeFSUIPCOptionsKey=70,12 AxesWrongRange=No TCASid=Flight TCASrange=40,3 AxisCalibration=No DirectAxesToCalibs=No AxisIntercepts=No DontResetAxes=No ThreadAffinityMask=x0 LuaAffinityMask=x0 LogOptionProtect=Yes AutoConnectToSim=Yes AutoExitWithSim=Yes TimeForLuaClosing=2 TrafficStallTime=2 InitialStallTime=120 NormalStallTime=2 LuaRerunDelay=66 ComReadLoopTime=20 Window=52,52,821,471 Console=No ConsoleWindowTopMost=No ConsoleWindow=234,234,1227,753 BrakeReleaseThreshold=75 ControlsListBuild=999 FSVersionUsed="KittyHawk",11.0.282174.999 SimConnectUsed=11.0.62651.3 [JoyNames] 0=Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals 0.GUID={D35BABA0-392D-11E5-8001-444553540000} 1=Saitek Pro Flight Yoke 1.GUID={8E9D35C0-392C-11E5-8001-444553540000} A=Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals A.GUID={D35BABA0-392D-11E5-8001-444553540000} B=Saitek Pro Flight Yoke B.GUID={8E9D35C0-392C-11E5-8001-444553540000} [JoystickCalibration] RudderBlendLowest=1 AllowSuppressForPFCquad=Yes ExcludeThrottleSet=Yes ExcludeMixtureSet=Yes ExcludePropPitchSet=Yes SepRevsJetsOnly=No ApplyHeloTrim=No UseAxisControlsForNRZ=No FlapsSetControl=0 FlapDetents=No ReverserControl=66292 Reverser1Control=66422 Reverser2Control=66425 Reverser3Control=66428 Reverser4Control=66431 MaxThrottleForReverser=256 AileronTrimControl=66731 RudderTrimControl=66732 CowlFlaps1Control=66162 CowlFlaps2Control=66163 CowlFlaps3Control=66164 CowlFlaps4Control=66165 SteeringTillerControl=0 MaxSteerSpeed=60 Aileron=-16352,0,512,16287 Elevator=-16287,0,512,16351 Rudder=-16384,0,512,16383 Throttle=-16384,16383 Spoilers=-16384,16255/16 [Axes] PollInterval=10 RangeRepeatRate=10 [Buttons] PollInterval=25 ButtonRepeat=20,10 [AutoSave] Next=1 Interval=60 Files=10 SaveOnGround=No AutoSaveEnabled=No [GPSout] GPSoutEnabled=No [GPSout2] GPSoutEnabled=No [WideServer] WideFSenabled=Yes [Profile.PMDG B737-700] 1=PMDG 737-700 Southwest Airlines (N268WN | 2021 | Heart) [Axes.PMDG B737-700] RangeRepeatRate=10 0=AX,256,F,65720,0,0,0,*-1 -{ TO SIM: BRAKES_LEFT }- 1=AY,256,F,65721,0,0,0,*-1 -{ TO SIM: BRAKES_RIGHT }- 2=AR,256,D,3,0,0,0 -{ DIRECT: Rudder }- 3=BX,256,D,1,0,0,0 -{ DIRECT: Aileron }- 4=BY,256,D,2,0,0,0 -{ DIRECT: Elevator }- 5=BZ,256,D,4,0,0,0 -{ DIRECT: Throttle }- 6=BU,256,D,22,0,0,0 -{ DIRECT: Spoilers }- [Buttons.PMDG B737-700] 0=PB,15,C66080,0 -{GEAR_DOWN}- 1=PB,14,C66079,0 -{GEAR_UP}- 2=RB,19,C65602,0 -{THROTTLE_DECR}- 3=UB,19,C65604,0 -{THROTTLE_CUT}- 4=RB,3,C65615,0 -{ELEV_TRIM_UP}- 5=RB,2,C65607,0 -{ELEV_TRIM_DN}- Any help is appreciated! I don't see anything assigned to control the parking brake in the ini file you posted... First, I suggest that you update the aircraft name in your profile to catch more liveries - change 10 hours ago, JboiLA said: [Profile.PMDG B737-700] 1=PMDG 737-700 Southwest Airlines (N268WN | 2021 | Heart) to Quote [Profile.PMDG B737-700] 1=PMDG 737-700 The easiest way to control the parking brake on the PMDG 737 is to use the available presets (see https://hubhop.mobiflight.com/presets/) : In FSUIPC7, select the 'Select for Preset' checkbox and you can assign to the inputs PMDG_B737-7_PARKING_BRAKE_ON and PMDG_B737-7_PARKING_BRAKE_OFF. John PMDG_NG3_SDK.h 98.55 kB · 0 downloads For me, parking brake works well when brakes are configured within msfs and "PMDG_B737-7_PARKING_BRAKE_ON" is configured on my controller button the way you are explaining here , if they are configured through FSUIPC (send direct to fsuipc calibration) and calibrated, the parking brake only goes on, but it doesn't go off (release) by pressing both brakes fully like it should and like it worked with previous pmdg's version (the one that didn't have this realistic method of working with parking brakes.

With your help and another member's post regarding assigning both toe brakes as Axis Left Brake and Axis Right Brake I was able to assign buttons to control the parking brakes. I was able to add these settings to the -800 variant as well. In addition I was able to enjoy my maiden voyage on MSFS with PMDG 737. Thanks again! Jeff
